Now she tells me I don\'t need moisture!!!!!

I've run out of breakfree and mango butter, so I aske someone to go pick some up for me while she was out..she said "what do you need that for?" I said "It's moisturizer" she said "You need to stop putting stuff in your hair!"...I give up...I do not care about hair anymore, no matter what I try to do for it, it's always wrong.

Who is she??? and you shouldn't let people discourage you from what you think is right for your hair... trust me when your hair is past your booty she will be like:

TripleP is hilarious!!! But, ain't that the truth!!!

I don't understand why this would make you want to give up. If the products are working for you, to the extent that you want to buy more, don't let her dissuade you. I know people think I'm overly "involved" w/my hair, but those are the same people that have their hands all up in it, asking me what I do, how long it is and "who I go to"!

Go get your moisturizer girl and get that dirt off your shoulder!

The she is my R.A..the same one who I posted about the day before who told me to just cut my hair off and told me that CO washing my hair was dumb and that leave in, moisturizer and oil was too much for my hair and would make it break...I'm not really discouraged, I just give up trying to inform people or explain to them why I do whatever I do to my hair.

I have learned the hard way to keep hair comments to myself. Cheerbear you may have to do the same. I have only one co-worker who actually is interested in healthy hair and comes to me to ask about stuff we learn from this board. Other than that, my lips are sealed. Seems like she sees you reaching for and achieving your hair goals and is bent on trying to break you down. Anky is right, I've learned the hard way to keep my hair bizness to myself regarding my fam, co-workers, friends, and other folx (i.e., so called friends like this one) for this very reason.

Sounds ignorant to me. However, if you REALLY want to moisturize your hair and body, begin on the INSIDE!!! Drink at LEAST half of your body weight in ounces of water DAILY AND increase your intake of FREASH/RAW veggies and fruits!!! I haven't had a moisture problem since I've done this.

If you're a vegetarian, make sure you eat some proteins too, whether in the form of tofu, beans or rice and beans combo, etc.

Maybe she is afraid your hair is going to look better than hers and she is trying to sabatoge you. Like I hate when I want to work out and try to eat healthy and people at work are trying to offer me junk food and telling me that I don't need to bother. HATERS SUCK! Wow, that sounded like my friend until her hair started fallin out from her ty-dye hair experience...she use 2 always make comments like "why you always buying hair products" " why you always putting stuff on ur hair".. "why do you let conditioner sit in so long".. "why do you moisturize your hair so much"...and my favorite " why are you on that hair board.." Now she's trying to learn about hair moisture..and lettting her hair deep condition and stuff like that....i'm just laughing cuz she was the main one always talking about me and my hair..now she needs my guidance b/c she's seriously going bald now .. she still tells me to "step away from the hair products" but she knows i have a habit of buying hair products everytime i'm in walmart..lol

Try to drink at LEAST half of your body weight in ounces of water EVERYDAY if you aren't doing so already. Also, like Jessy suggested, get your plant proteins. Also, do you use heat on your hair? If so, stop. Do you sleep in a satin scarf or silk scarf or bonnet? If not, start. If you eat/drink alot of thing with sugar in them, back off of it...sugar is poison to the body. If you use alot of products on your hair, stop. Start w/one and find what REALLY works for you. If you use products with alocohol in them, STOP!!! Alcohol dries out the hair AND the body!!!
