November 2010.......What Did YOU Buy This Week???? HAIR CARE EDITION

Pompous Blue

I bought 3 and had a reality check when I opened the box. Those 8 oz. jars looked sooo small. I honestly will not repurchase them and I haven't even tried them yet. But was $26 a deal (regular price $36); I don't think so....Maybe it's the knowledge that a lot of these vendors use mixes. I think I'm doing fine with using henna; I'm getting the strong results I want. Plus I cover my greys with henna and katam; two in one. Can't beat that!

Girl, Who You Tellin'? :nono:

I thought the exact same thing when I opened my Box. Seems Like that the 1st Jar I bought was Mucccchhhhh Bigger.:look:

And...She changed Jars. Sort of like KBB Hair Butter Jars. :ohwell:

Yeah, I paid Full Price for the 1st Jar w/the 10% discount (of course). And truthfully it was much larger. IA: I probably won't repurchase either.:nono:

Actually, Blue, I am re-evaluating alot of my On-Line Purchases and will definitely be Cutting A Coupla' Vendors Loose in 2011. Still tryna' decide who gets the Axe.:sekret:

Some of them are Gon' Be Up & Outtie tho'.

@1st bolded - She changes jars all the time. There is never any consistency to her jars. I know she says this online, but it would be nice to see some consistency sometime.

@2nd bolded - I've already decided who gets the axe. Afroveda for one! I hadn't ordered from her since 2009 and ready to re-stock my DH's Curly Custard; but the debacle happened...and you know the rest. I already made up my mind I can live w/o the Miss Bhree, too.

I've ordered a lot of samples since 06/09 and have decided on my staples and their back-ups.

I wish I had brick 'n mortar stores to purchase from but that is not the case. I was hoping my Target would carry some products. But they don't. Sigh!

Girllll............I was going to start a thread "What Products are you Cuttin' Loose in 2011" but decided I betta' leave that one alone:lol:

Actually, I was looking for some ideas about Ms. Bhree.

I could replace Ms. Bhree with something from MHC like the Burdock Root Hair Lotion....but I'm not overly enthused with her Prices/Shipping Costs.

Now...Don't get me wrong, She ships incredibly Fast, but the price is unsightly.

Girl.... I am >>HERE<< Some of these Folx gotta' go. How did you evaluate who you were cutting?

I first reviewed how well their products were working for me, I put the GREAT products at the top of the list and the okay ones at the bottom. I evaluated shipping costs from each vendor and how many products I used from each line. I realized that my SSI products were at the top of the list and I was most satisfied w/ her shipping, I had about three lines in the middle of the year, Qhemet, SSI and Hairveda, but now it's just shescentit, the other products were good but SSI outweighed them.

Poranges

Those are the same 2/3 that keep rising to the top for me too. I love both Hairveda & SSI. (Qhemet/Komaza) are prolly tied for 3rd.:perplexed

I'm sure I'd be just as content with 1 or 2 lines..........:look:

With an "Occasional" Indescretion.:look:

Thanks. You've been most helpful.:yep:

HV's shipping is Definitely an Issue. But Yet, I continue to buy:lol:

Not a thiiiiiiiiiinnnnggggggggggg! I am proud of that fact. I'm trying my best to hold out until for Black Friday, but even then I only plan on re-uping on staples, ie. Qhemet's BRBC, cassia and amla powders, Haireva's Vatika Frosting (hoping this goes on sale on Blk Fri.)

::chanting must stay strong, must stay strong:::

But I do need to grab a bottle of Roux PC, but I'm not counting that!
