How do you like the Amenta products?

I saw some Amenta conditioner the other day but i left it where it was because I wasn't sure about it. The ingredients looked good but I was still a little reluctant.

Haven't tried the conditioner yet. I figured I'd just try it $5 for 16oz of a deep conditioner. Tried the elixir on my ends and The comb slid right through and airdried soft and smooth. Pretty decent for $5.
The products are a knockoff of aveda products I read somewhere.

Sta Sof Fro Spray
Motions Moisture Plus Conditioner
Softee Beeswax
Wonder 8 Oil
Monoi de tahiti oil (I'm making an exception to my BSS only rule and using my b-day as an excuse*).

*changed my mind and didn't order it. Stay strong MD, stay strong.:lachen:

I returned the motions and sta sof fro. I gave the wonder 8 oil away. I karate kicked the beeswax in the garbage. Who am I kidding. I like natural products and ain't nothing wrong with that.

I totally caved and ordered the Monoi de Tahiti (called it a birthday present to myself) and stocked back up on a 54 oz. jar of coconut oil. I will also be purchasing some AOHC and OHHB from QB on black friday.

Also,

1 lb. baking soda
4 bottles vo5 strawberry mositure milks conditioner

That's it...for now.

WEN Fig Cleansing Conditioner
WEN Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner
WEN Sweet Almond Mint Oil
John Masters Citrus something or other leave-in
S-Curl

I'll be purchasing more WEN (Tea Tree and Cucumber Aloe Cleansing Conditioners) and restocking on my black soap from www.agbangakarite.com . We use it for everything, taking showers, washing faces, washing hair, washing hands.... Good stuff. Love it!

Aside from my relaxers here's what I got this month:Phytopolléine - Universal elixir Very Good as a prepoo and you do not need to coat the hair, Once applied, I massaged my scalp really well and covered my hair for an hour or so then washed with my normal shampoo. Its a little on the strong smelling side (its the rosemary). It will certainly help during this winter as the dryness is already starting.

Phytojoba Mask - Intense hydrating mask
I already love this one:yep: You don't have to use a lot. And even though I have MBL hair, I used very little. It may not be good for those that are heavy handed (because it ain't like its suave!) Felt it working from the time I put it in. I used it as a Deep Conditioner, and left it on for an hour. My hair felt amazing after this, very moisturized but not weighed down or sticky. This will for sure be a winter staple! This has a lemony smell which is nice.

Phyto 9 - Daily ultra nourishing botanical cream The jury is out still, but at least its not greasy. I an see using this when I want to wear my hair down but not when I want to bun.

  • Castor Oil from Whole Foods (which I love)
  • Lacio Lacio Leave-in (just set my hair with it so we'll see)
  • 3 ORS Replenishing Paks (have yet to use)
  • 2 bars of Aritha and Shikakai shampoo online (patiently stalking the mail lady)
I have yet to buy my Maxiglide this month, but I'm still hoping I'll be able to. You wouldn't believe the things I'm trying to sell on eBay to pay for that sucker...

I realized I haven't reported here in a minute:

Giovanni's Nutrafix
Giovanni's Magnetic Reconstructing Conditioner
Claudie's Protein Conditioner
Claudie's Honeysuckle Cream Rinse
Claudie's Deep Moisturizing Conditioner
Claudie's Oil
Jessicurl WDT (gallon)

So far only a winter hat but I do plan to stock up for the whole of next year at the Qhemet Biologics’s sale next week .

I need this kind of consistancy in my pj life.

I am a recovering PJ. I know what it's like. :yep:
Real Freedom & Success is finding what works for you and stick with it-sort of like a marriage! :lachen:

My staples are Ovation and Chaz Dean's Wen products; I've stuck with them for over a year now. Qhemet, Ojon, Nexxus, Jane Carter and now Aubrey Organics are products I rely on too.

Every now and then I try something new or give a less-thought-of purchase another try, but consistency, I learned is the key.

Miss Key 10 en 1 Super Reconstructor
Restock on Silicon Mix Avanti moisturizing conditioner

I believe I've FINALLY found my staples. Dominican products seem to help my hair instantly. :yep:

I bought the following:

Boundless Tresses
Silicon Mix (staple)
Curls Coconut Sublime Conditioner (I love the smell.)
CON green label (staple)

I'm going on a personal "no buy" challenge in December so I just have to get some virgin coconut oil and I'm done for the rest of the year. I feel like I've found my staples so this shouldn't be too hard.

LouAna coconut oil -- decided to at least give it a shot since it is so much cheaper than my usual Spectrum, and I am not disappointed so far. Presently looking for some avocado oil.

This is the first time in a while I have bought more than one thing for my hair in a given month.
