Nov. Issue of Essence...Loads of Hair talk

So I just got my issue of Essence with Nia Long on the cover the other day and opened it and it's loads of hair stuff in there. I skimmed over some of it, and to be honest I think it's a lot of the stuff most LHCF members already know. But I think there may be something new tucked away in between those pages.

Still this issue may be good to have. I've yet to read the feature article, "The Root of the Issue Good, bad, political, decorative, natural,
relaxed, Mikki Taylor asks Nia Long, Ledisi, Solange and others about
good hair, skin color and self-esteem issues". I'll do that this weekend.

On the website I found this article as well, http://www.essence.com/fashion_beau...thy_hair_tips_for_african_american_hair_types .
Be sure to check out the other articles on the left of your screen about hair as well.

Check this out for you transitioners, http://www.essence.com/fashion_beauty/hair/articles/natural_hair_transition_2009_grow_out_challenge.

Happy Reading!!

Yeah I think that was the whole purpose of it. Essence always has the same women on the cover for promotional purposes. If Beyonce has a new album or movie, she'd be on the cover too!!

It's just full of hair stuff!! I think they did a couple different covers with Nia's hair in an afro, the regular cover with her own hair in a flippy do and then another with a long weave. I hadn't realized how much promo stuff they did, I mean it's crazy. The did talk shows, magazines, appearances, discussions, etc. It's hair pandemonium!!!

"Each month four winners will be selected to receive a personal hair prescription and products from Miss Jessie's valued at approximately $150.00."

:lachen: that's like two products. Miss Jessie's is expensive.

Thanks for the links...interesting read.
