I've got sooooo much new growth I don't know what to do.

I'm trying to stretch my touch up to 8 weeks, but my hair is 7 inches at the top and 3 1/2 inches on the side an the back I don't know what to do. It seems since I've been doing my nightly massages with my essential oil mixes and using Cathy Howse's products my hair is growing like crazy

. I have a cermaic flat iron that I can use, but after I use it I usually just wet it again to put it in a pony or phony. I could also use my Caruso ,but I like putting my hair up and not touching it. Please help I just don't know what to do.

Jellynote,

Congratulations on your new growth! I think putting your hair up and not touching it is the right thing to do.

Have you ever tried the coconut milk treatment for your new growth? Do a search and you'll find it. Lots of people have had success with that.

Coconut oil works ok also.

A thermal straightening balm might work on your new growth too. It won't keep it straight once it's washed or if you work out, but if you're just trying to extend it give it a try.

I see that you're taking evening primrose oil too. Have you ever opened a caplet and applied that oil directly to your hair and scalp? It's an ingredient in lots of hair supplies, so I tried it. It really softens up that new growth and makes it much more manageable. It helps out a lot on ends too.

Maybe one of these will work for you. Please let us know!! You can do it!!

Take care,
G

Jellynote-

You're welcome!!

I would try one to start off with depending on your length. I usually rinse out my conditioner, apply my leave-in (don't skip this step)and them mix the EPO with my oils to seal in the moisture.

It's got kind of a sesame smell, but if you mix it with coconut oil, hair honey or somthing like that you won't even notice. Make sure to apply this mixture liberally to your newgrowth as well as your ends.

I took some with me when I got my touch up this weekend (13 weeks!) and my stylist thought they were great.

Let me know how this works for you! I'm excited, this is the first suggestion I've made that someone else is going to try!!

Take care,
G
