My allergies to whatever are killing me!!! Right now, my face is all red/purple and a little swollen. I scheduled an emergency allergist appointment tomorrow but does anyone know of any home remedies to cut down on the swelling and the itchiness? I can't take any pills because they're going to run some tests tomorrow and such to find out EXACTLY what I'm allergic too...nor is it the first time its happened. Anyway, later tomorrow I'm going to an Amy Winehouse concert and my face..dear god my face...I just wanna die! But I'll be damned if I miss this concert though.

Because of this mystery allergic reaction, I only went attend my first year in college for 3 weeks and stopped because my face would swell and get red in class, in an office and around the school. Tuition money wasted. I'm trying to get my problem fixed now so I can attend for the summer semester. I feel like dipping my face in some warm water

I agree, go to the ER or one of those 24 hour clinics and see if there is anything they can do to make you more comfortable in the meantime. I hope you feel better and get care at your appt tomorrow.

Whenever I have an extreme allergic reaction (what you're having now), I head straight to the ER for a shot of Benadryl! If I have minor skin itching I use something cooling on my skin, e.g. aloe vera gel, caladryl lotion, plain unsweetened yogurt, or cool water compresses.

I'm very sorry this happened to you. I agree. Hospital definitely. Hopefully you'll get some answers when you go tomorow.

I'm sorry you are going though this. I also have extreme allergies. If you don't have problems breathing just try to wait it out. If you take any medicine the doctor will not be able to find the cause of your reaction. I know its hard. I've been there, but once they find the cause of your allergy and you get the proper medicine life will be so good. It may take some time but work with the doctor and they will develop the best regime for you.
