No trimming for 2007 Challenge, All aboard lol

Although my hair has been looking quite thick since I trimmed off probably 95% of the relaxer that was left in my hair. I oiled my hair down heavily last nite and noticed that though it is unfair to judge the thickness of oiled or wet hair my ends were looking TOO skimpy :-( I had to grab my scissors and cut that skinny hair off ( approx 1 inch) and afterwards felt as tho I mustve trimmed away the very last of the relaxer now. Its always liberating to cut thin ends for me.. Id like to propose to myself and anyone else a no trim challenge by vowing to treat our hair as well as we can so it wont need ANY trimming at least till December!!

I LIKE THIS CHALLENGE:)
YOU CAN COUNT ME IN:D , I'D REALLY LIKE TO SEE HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN GO WITHOUT TRIMMING, ITS BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS ALREADY. IT'LL BE GREAT TO SEE HOW LONG WE CAN ALL GO W/O TRIMMING AND STILL KEEP OUR ENDS IN TACT:)

I haven't had a trim in year! My ends look okay they were looking bad for awhile but somehow they thickened back up. I'm down until the end of summer, I'll trim again in August.

Im not gonna make it a challenge but I havent timmed since New years :yep: Ill try to see how much longer I can go. So far so good.

U can count me in!!!! It will be neat to see how much growth ill be able to see ..just gotta keep my moisture, protien and supplement game tight

I'm in! This sounds like fun! I got my hair trimmed with my last relaxer. 10 months without a trim is long for me but I know it'll be worth it.

Ooooooh, I think I'm gonna have to get in on this one. :D I think my last trim was Oct. 2006. It would be great if I could go at least until Oct. 2007. So, yep, I'm in!

Oh gosh! I have been eyeing this thread since its been posted. I am not sure I can make it for the entire 2007... I will try though. I am truly addicted to the scissors..which resulted in me having a short hair cut again, I guess this is why I need to be on a challenge that makes me refrain from the scissors. its just that 2007 is a whole damn year...:perplexed

Okay count me in. I am due for a relaxer on the 12th of April so...I will relaxe and all that and no matter what I will not trim:perplexed

Okay fudge it! Im in. I mean how much of a trim will I need after my relaxer
:look:

Im in!!!!

I'm in. I haven't trimmed my hair since July 2006  . This is a FIRST for me. It will be interesting to see how long I can go.

what is "dusting":ohwell:

Its killing off the split ends byt seek and destroy, one at a time. I havent even done this during the chanllenge. How did you get your ends to look to so great in a short lenth of time? I am uneven SL right now.

Dusting is a much lighter version of a trim. (Just enough to dust the ends off?)

Thank you!

Thank you! I actually have no idea how that happend. My hair broke off unevenly at the beginning of 2006 and it seemed like the difference between the two lengths was just getting worse and worse. I just started taking care of my hair and it seemed like the shorter side just caught up. I really have no clue what happend :perplexed At the time my stylist recommended I cut the longer side to even up with the shorter side but i was didn't want to lose the length so I just did a wait and see and luckily everything turned out good. If your're against trims and if your ends aren't split then I would recommend waiting and seeing what happens, it might just even out. Otherwise you could get regular trims on the longer side and get "baby" trims on the shorter side until eventually it evens out :)

ETA: no more trims for mee!

I'm in. I fell for the school of thought of "a trim every 4-6 weeks" until I found this site. My last cut was in March and she did an excellent job at evening my hair up so I feel good that I don't need anything done except a relaxer.

Doing good on this side. Babbying the ends and no flat iron. Wearing the flass and wigs. How about you?

im doing good...im in micros (which is a protective style in itself) my ends are not exposed... but i baggy every night!:)

Count me in as well. I will continue to deep condition once a week, moisturize & seal my ends & take my vitamins regulary. I will trim Jan 2008.

I really want to join, but I'm so afraid I'll fail..I'm just gonna take it 1 day @ a time..

Still going strong! I was scared that my hair dresser was going to trim them for my wedding but she said that I didn't need it. Thank God for baggying!!!! or just taking care of my hair...either way, no trimming for me!
