No more fros for me

Dang I can't wait until I have that problem! Realistically, my hair could be toe length and it would still shrink up to my ear:ohwell:

You have beautiful hair! You have the Rudy Huxtable hair that I always wanted.

WWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW:spinning::drunk::spinning:

queeny! your puff is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous!!!

Why you had to bring Reggie Miller into this? Do you trim Q? That may help your fro.

I get a trim every 6 months. I just think it was the length because I combed it out straight and it just flopped. I can still have one via wash and go with it shrunken but I wanted it big and straight. Oh well. Q

Yeah Queenie that fro puff is fly!

But I know how frustrating it can be when you want a certain look and the hair says...:nono: not today.

I love your hair, Queeny! I wish mine could look like that:yep:! It looks so much better than mine. I look like Ben Wallace's little sister now, so I'm thinking about texlaxing or relaxing now. Mine looked like this when I removed my Kinky Twists:

(Ben Wallace's braid out) (This is what it looks like if I blowdry)

Omg your puff is beautiful. I can't wait to have that problem lol. Looking at you, I know I can get there one day.

You are a trip. But yeah my fro kind of looked like his in the second pic. Not cute at all. :nono: Q

Lol I remember I posted when that happened to me...I understand the frustration b/c now it's like...it was so easy before...what do I do?! Either way, the puff looks great!!

I know what you're going through, but you can still wear the fro, you just have to get creative with the manipulation of it.

I place hair pins strategically inside to give me lift. I also use hairspray if necessary. I spray the piece I want extended, hold taut with my hand, then blowdry to keep the placement.

Another way to get an afro is to soak up excess water with a towel by holding your head upside down. After releasing the towel, you again hold your head upside down and diffuse until almost dry.

They work for me when I'm going for this look.

So today I decided to rock my fro for Father's Day. I washed my hair while it was in braids and then took them down one by one. I combed the braid out, applied some Miss Jessie's until I was finished. I grabbed my scarf and was ready to get the fro going. Unfortunately it flopped like Reggie Miller playing against the Knicks. It was not cute yall. So instead I pushed the scarf up higher and played around with my hair a little and rocked a little puff instead. I guess I should be happy that my hair is getting longer but I was really hoping to rock a big ole fro today. Oh well. Here is a pic of the puff I wore today. Q

It looks so pretty, Queeny20! :Rose:

Ahhh, what a milestone in a head's life!!!! The official point at which the fro, flops. :bighug: It does suck, but it means your hair is growing, growing, GROWING!!! Time to see what new styles your new length can pull off.... ;)

And if that gorgeous puff is one of them - girl, you won't even miss the fro, soon! ;)

Thanks but that sounds like too much work. I can still wear a shrunken one, I guess I will just have to retire the thought of having a fluffed out one which is how I like to rock mine.

Thanks for the compliments ladies. Q
