Just to let y'all know. I am going to the salon this Friday to get my phyto touch up. I will tell you that it has only been 9 weeks and my new growth is POPPIN'! I've been using BT for the past month and a half or so and whoa...

I am going to the salon because I can't risk the chance of overlapping but I am going to keep a hawk's eye out and at the first sign of trouble, I'm outta there. If LHCF ain't taught me nothing y'all taught me one thing..."never be that pressed again to sit in somebody's chair and ask them to wreck your hair. Hell, you can do it yourself in the privacy of your own home."

Not do it yourself as in wreck your own hair but do a good job yourself at home...y'all know what I meant!

Good luck with your salon visit. I hope the stylist applying your relaxer is someone you know and trust.;)

Pray for me girl. I'm going to a "phyto specialist". You know my head is filled with so much knowledge about hair, I might work her nerves so bad that she might ask ME to leave.:orders::arguing:

:lachen:I know what you mean girl! I'm probably treading thin ice with my stylist now too, and she's been doing my hair for almost 10 years!

Don't be afraid to speak at any issues or concerns that you have. And if the even act like the are not willing to listen grab your purse and run!!!!!!!!!!!:lachen:

Go for it Shishi, I've made it to a 9 week stretch this time, each touchup a week longer.....YEE-HAW!! I've decided to start going back for at least an every 2 weeks shampoo/roller set{-especially after the positive comments on my silky sheen-} even though after a few hours my hair is back up. I'm tired of the 'ropey' look but I have the confidence to speak up or get up and walk should things get out of control at the salon!!
Go for it and be that hawkeyed consumer--mirror always in sight.

I had the same thoughts today but now I am not sure. I had my hair cut today all even. I had a shampoo and dry along with a style. I was thinking, huh maybe I should come every two weeks and let them do it. It was cheap because it was a beauty school. But when i realized that the wash was not that great, the conditioner was just a quick splash and wash, and then she sprayed a gallon of oil sheen in my head while frying it with the dang irons I truly reconsidered. I think now I am only going to go once a month to get it trimmed. This is just a precaution since my medicine is wrecking havoc right now on my hair. Maybe if I find a salon that is cheap I will reconsider but this other stuff just is not for me.
Oh yeah I forgot to mention she burned my head and ear a few times:sad: In actuality the only thing I liked was the cut. Should have paid my 11 dollars for the cut and left.
