I am seriously thinking about switching to no-lye hair relaxers. What do you ladies use? And why? How does it do on your hair and scalp. Thanks!

I use ORS No-lye Olive Oil Relaxer (Normal) & I love it. It does not burn or irritate my scalp and it straightens well. All my experiences w/ lye relaxers burned my scalp leaving sores & had to be left on over the max amount of time to straighten which resulted in overprocessing.

I know some people don't like no-lye relaxer b/c of the calcium, but ORS also has a shampoo (Creamy Aloe) that removes calcium build-up. So I have no problem w/ my hair drying out. HTH

I cannot tolerate lye relaxers. They BURN my scalp, and don't straighten my hair. Also, when I was using lye I did experience some breakage.

No lye realxers always work for me. My hair gets straight, and my scalp doesn't feel like I set it on fire. Since I started using Phyto, my scalp doesn't burn at all.

Everyone is different, so you have to find what works for you. But... I would definitely give no lye a chance.

I also use ORS Olive Oil Normal. I did a lot of research on no-lye relaxers before I decided to texlax and ORS was the relaxer that I was most comfortable with. I'm so glad that I went with ORS too. Both my hair and scalp are in good condition.

I use Johnson & Johnson Mild Gentle Treatment No Lye Relaxer..... and i love it. It gets my hair silky and straight, and its also very soft and shiny. I dont ever burn or have sores. Im quite content with it. :)

I use this relaxer in Super..
2 snaps up!!!
I LOVE IT!

I use phyto and am sooo glad i made the switch from lye to no-lye.. my hair and scalp thank me for it. I haven't experience any negative effects, in fact i've been able to grow my hair out very fast since i've made the switch.

Ok ladies! I am going to try no lye this weekend. I can't take relaxer burns anymore. Thanks
