NO HEAT SUMMER CHALLENGE!

I'll admit I fell off the bandwagon once but I was crunched for time and couldn't wait for my hair to airdry. That was about 3 weeks ago and I haven't used heat since. I do plan on going to the salon for a hair cut and I will be gettig a rollerset and that will be the only heat used on my hair for the summer. I have finally found products that work for me when airdrying besides im too lazy to go back to the blowdryer

Hi guys, I am not going to use heat at all for one month. That's right, I said it, one month without my hardhat dryer. I need to, I am breaking all over the place. I don't even care anymore what those fools say at work about my hair anymore, I want my hair long and I believe minimal styling and no heat is the key. you can do it stay strong I have faith in you. I'm only doing it because my hair needs a cut badly. If it didn't I would be air drying the whole summer.

I'm in! I'm getting a touch-up the first week of July after 15 weeks, so I'll have to have some heat then. But other than that, I'd like to participate.

It's been two months already! Well, I caved & used heat, but I'm restarting the challenge now--no heat on my hair for the rest of the summer.

I have decided to join this challenge also. I do not have a perm but I have been consistently pressing my hair for the past 16 years so this is going to be really tough for me. So far I have managed to be heat free for 4 weeks by corn rowing my hair with no extensions. I am getting it redone today so I know that I am good for at least another month. If I actually make it a whole 2 months that will be the longest that I have ever gone for as long as I can remember without heat. Until I came to this board it honestly never occurred to me that I just might be able to live without constantly pressing my hair. I am anxious to see if it is going to make a difference. WIsh me luck guys!

I'm going to try to stay strong & patient. My 3 month anniversary is next Wednesday. So I'm halfway!! I only plan to use heat once and get a rollerset in September. I don't think I can stomach the blow dryer @ the Dominican salon. I'll save them for truly special occassions. I know direct heat has caused all of my setbacks. So if I can get past this, then I can attempt another 6 mos.

My hand held dryer is broke anyways, so I can't use it..that is a blessing in disguise.

I'm on board with the Summer Challenge- please count me in! I also plan on not using any heat PERIOD for a looong time. As a matter of fact I'm giving my blowdryer and all of my heating tools to my sister (she is heat freak)!!! Maybe I can talk her into joining us

I'm in! The last time I have used heat was June 13 (which was with a blowdryer). So I officially started June 14. I'm doing the bun challenge so all Im gonna do is use my hair products and airdry.
