I used to use Nioxin about 7 years ago. Yes, it will stop shedding and help your hair fill in. The thing is, you must keep up your regimen. It's not a growth aid, it pretty much brings balance to your hair and scalp and creates a better environment for growth. I give it 4 stars out of 5.
ETA~ I used the whole line. My hair would fill in and start to grow and then I'd put the wrong ish on my hair and the shedding would begin again. I'd use the Nioxin again and the hair would come back. Put the wrong ish...you get the picture!

The Nioxin system worked for me....although I have not used it in a while. DH used the last of the cleanser at least 6 months ago and I never bought it again. It's like a very mild rogaine (or so it was explained to me) such that when I stopped using it I did not see my hair fall out. I was using it (stylist recommended) to thicken up my relaxed hair.
