Nexxus Emergencee users

I bought a bottle of Emergencee and it says to shampoo, apply Emergencee, shampoo. Why would it say to shampoo out the treatment? Did I get a bogus product? Is this a typo? I've used it in the past and never noticed this before. Please shed some light on this.
