I bought one at especially yours. The dee human hair one. If anyone has worn one how did u put it on. Im struggeling. Plus Im afraid of the hair clips. Im afraid it will tear my hair out. I dont want to have to take it back.

Have you watched the how to wear video on the second site you mentioned?

yeah but I guess i need practice.

i was wondering peoples experiences with this wig also and if their hair grew underneath it and if the combs didnt eat their hair.

Hi trulyurangel82,

Please check out the WIG Challenge thread - someone posted about her experience with NewHair wigs and there are plenty of tips there!

Thanks CD

I bought the Dee with a center part. It was my VERY first time using a wig because my MIL is a wig fanatic and she convinced me to try, plus the number of ladies here using it to hide their hair. It snagged my hair a little but I chalked it up to being a newbie. THen once I examined the comb, I chalked it up to the little bitty teeth snatching my hair. The hair looked and felt great though(quality feel). I got it dirt cheap too. When I come out of braid I'll try it again-after adjusting those combs, or taking one or two out.

I also bought the Dee and I am hooked! My stylist saw it and it she ordered one. I ordered it from especiallyyours.com

does it snag your hair? and do u put the back comb on your hair first before the sides?

It was snagging my hair for a while before I realized that the clips actually open! Once I realized that it hadn't snagged my hair...I just had to be careful not to pull or tug on it. I also have very thick hair and I am extra careful when taking the clips off. I did the top clips first, followed by the back and then sides.

I have two of these Dee and Toni. I love them! I aply some coconut oil to the areas where the clip and back comb attach to my hair. The first time I took the clips out they did take a few strands of hair, but, that was my fault. Now, that I know how to lift the wig off my head, I don't experience any loss at all.

Everyone thinks the wig is my hair even though I switch between the wigs and phony ponies due to the summer heat. I have told a few people it is a wig. They want one now. I'm going to be washing Dee later this week.

mine isnt as straight as it is in that picture.
Did you straighten yours with a flat iron? It says its human hair.

do u wear a wig cap underneath it?

I'm really loving Lucy in Yaki and Dee 16inches. Very nice and realistic looking. I'm happy that the US distributors got more style options, I'll be looking into these real soon.

I clip up my hair underneath it, after I moisturize and seal my ends. I also use a soft, child's size toothbrush to apply coconut oil to the areas where the wigs attach to my hair front, side and back. I tried a wig cap at first, but, it wouldn't stay on because so much of my hair was out in the front and sides. Both wigs are left part. I keep about an inch of my front hair line out so I can wear it back behind my ears.

They are both human hair wigs. I made a spray of about 10% Nexxus Humectress and 90% water. I sprayed Dee down and blew it out with my blow dryer using the comb attachment. I didn't do anything to Toni. It was already straight.

Dee needs to be washed right now. After I do, I will post a picture of me wearing it.

thanks!
I would love to see you with it on so i can picture it. Im still having a hard time getting it on my head. My head is huge

I also bought the Dee left part from especiallyyours.com. I haven't worn it in a while though because I realized my wig was too big and the back would get really tangled everytime I wore it. Also if I wore it all day, by the time I took it off, the areas on my scalp where the clips were would be so sore...maybe I was wearing it too tight or something. Another thing I noticed is mine shed alot....mainly after I washed it (I've only washed it once)

Besides all that, I love the the wig. When I did wear it, many wouldn't believe it was a wig when I would tell them. It matched my hair texture so well. A lot of people said it looked like my real hair and that they would believe it more to be a weave than a wig.

I have the opposite problem, I have a huge head. I have Toni with a left part and by the end of the day, my head aches and I worry that it is pulling my hair. I wish they had a large size available.

I got this from the ES site. There is also a chart on this page to tell you which sze to order:

How to Find Your Correct Wig Size:

Before beginning, flatten your hair Use a cloth tape measure to ensure accuracy

1. Measure Around Head:
Starting at your natural hairline in front, follow your hairline to just above your ear. Measure around the back to the bend in your neck, just above your other ear, then around front to where you began.

2. Measure Front to Back:
Measure from your natural hairline in front, back over the crown to where your head meets the top of your neck.

3. Measure Ear to Ear:
Starting in front of one ear where your hairline ends, bring your tape measure up and over the crown to the front of your other ear.

well even though all of the pics are different I had my wig for a while and I'm pretty sure none of the pics show a fresh wig. so it probably shed a little which made it thinner, and I also flat iron it and let it hang at night so it will stay straight and not get puffy

thanks krissyprissy. The Dee is human hair. The Toni looks longer but I believe it is synthetic.

Toni is human hair too. I've only worn it once and then put it right back in the net. I like it, but, I would like a shorter length. I see on the ES site now they have Dee in different lengths. I was looking for something shorter when I bought these two. The 10" Dee would have been perfect.

I washed Dee yesterday and blew her out straight today. She ready for pictures tomorrow.

I've been hyping www.especiallyyours.com for 2 years, I'm so glad that many of you have made happy purchases:) Our member pics look BETTER than those in the catalog!!
I'm a full wig girl, but with the way the pics look in this post I need to make another purchase.

When you put yours on I'd love to see pics!

thanks for clearing that up Daisemae (OT but my mom used to call me that when I was younger)....I'm about to head over to the site now I forgot how much I loved these things.....

I finally got out the house today and wore the wig. Dee is 100% human hair.

I washed it in a sink full of lukewarm to cool water with Sally's Generic Nexxus Therappe. I put the shampoo in the water, soaked the wig for a few minutes, then swirled and swished the wig around. After the plug was pulled in the sink, I rinsed the wig throughly with cool water and conditioned it with Sallys Generic Nexxus Humectress. The wig was rinsed after a few minutes.

I patted Dee dry in a towel. Then attached it to a metal wig stand, with three twist ties, by the cap. The wig stand was set on a small basket under my table top hard hat dryer. It dried on the "low" setting for about 30 minutes. The dryer was switched to "cool" for 60 minutes. Then set back on "low" for another 30 minutes. After all the hair was dry. I laid the crown of the wig stand facing up and dried the cap on "low" for 45 minutes.

The next day I blew the wig out. I have a stand that attaches to a table. The wig was pinned, front and back, to it's foam wig form and put on the stand. I separated and clamped off three sections of hair, back and both sides. The wig was lightly misted with a spray of 90% purified water and 10% Sallys Generic Nexxus Humectress. Then I lightly applied Sunsilk Hydra TLC 24/7 creme all over and a bit of Sunsilk De-Frizz 24/7 creme on the ends. I blew it out with the blow dryer on medium heat, brushing it with a vented brush as I went along the length. After the entire wig was dry, I very lightly applied some coconut oil.

The wig is clean, has a great sheen, is not brittle and did not shed any hairs. I wore it about seven hours today.
