Newgrowth + Relaxed ends + swimming?

I am transitioning and have a good bit of newgrowth now, BUT I am also about to start a swimming program really soon. How do I keep the chlorine from chewing the relaxed ends off?

Please help!

I was a swimmer for 2 years in high school and 1 in college. I would wet my hair fully (soaked) then apply a conditioner... suave usually cause its cheap, works, and I went thru it super fast. Then put your swim cap on and swim. After I would rinse my hair out in the showers at the pool, put more conditioner on to go do my workout portion of practice. once i got home I would wash my hair and use a "better conditioner." I only wore ponytails because I wouldn't blow dry my hair.

Good Luck and Happy Swimming!

BTW my hair didn't fall out AND i was relaxing the edges alllll the time like once a month (it was pre-LHCF so I didn't know any better) :wallbash: how stupid, right?!?

Oh yeah I forget to tell you. Buy a swimmers swim cap, from a sporting store. Its thinner than the other kinds and doesn't get as much water in. Emphasis on the AS MUCH part because out of all the swim caps I ever tried every single one of them still got water up under there.

Is a chelating shampoo like a clarifier Gymfreak?

Not exactly. Clarifying removes product buildup. Chelating shampoo's remove mineral buildup and medications from the hair. People who live in hard water areas can use these at every wash to keep the mineral buildup out of their hair. ORS shampoo, the light green one is a chelating shampoo
