Hello Ladies :hiya2:! My name is Akiralee and I’ve been a lurker for about a year now. I am currently transitioning and I am 16 months post. I plan to transition for exactly 24 months and chopping off whatever is left on Friday, December 17, 2010 (:look:yes I have planned the exact date). Over the past year I have been doing mini chops randomly. I’ve documented my journey somewhat unintentionally so please ignore the random faces (and ashiness) in the pictures. If you have any advice to get me through the next 8 months please share. Enjoy!

Welcome to the forum!! :)

I love that you posted so many pictures (you know we love pictures around these parts ;)). As far as advice, since you are already so far into your transition and doing well I don't really much to offer. The only thing I would say it, note which products currently work well for both the relaxed and natural sections of your hair.

It's not necessary to do a complete product overhaul when you are fully natural. I use many of the same things I did as when I was relaxed (and some products I use are marketed to chemically treated hair only). But my hair still loves them, so guess what? That's what I'm going to continue giving my hair. :yep:

Good luck with the rest of your transition. I think it's awesome that you already have the date planned. :)

welcome!!! keep up the good work! how much new growth would you say you have at 16 months? im trying to grasp my head around the idea of making it that long, but im trying to gage how much new growth i might have around then before i set a date.
