Hi all. I love this forum and I look forward to trying some of the products and advice (getting ready to go to the tack store for some MTG).

On Saturday, I will be doing the big chop. I was transitioning for 4 months until last night. I decided to take my cornrows out and wash and condition my hair. I neglected to comb my hair after taking out the braids  . I ended up with a tangled mess. My only choice after 3 hours of detangling was to cut the tangles out. My formerly chin length hair is now about 5 different lengths. I guess you live and you learn.

Welcome!!!

I hope the tangles just sped up what you planned on doing anyway! Your hair will be back b4 you know it! Especially with the rave reviews of the MTG!

Best wishes!

Good luck on your new 'do! Just so ya know, there's a braid spray out there made by Better Braids for taking out braids. It works WONDERS!!! I kept my micros in about 2.5 months (a miracle because that's twice what i can usually do) and when using I noticed alot less breakage! My hair was thick and very soft to comb. I just saturated each section, took a rat tail comb... gave one to my boyfriend... and over a period of two days we took out braids. Er'thang was covered in hurr! hehe I sprayed it on again after all braids were removed, then picked through the tangles. Most of it was dust that settled into that lil spot on the beginning of the braid... I hope I made sense. it's late and i should be in bed.....lol
