Hello everyone, I have very fine hair that is a little past my shoulders. I am very new, and I want my hair to grow to my brastrap first. I do not want to sound rude, but people say I have white people's hair, so it is very soft. I have it in a weave ponytail right now and will take that out once it hits two weeks, then i am putting in flat twists. I wanted to try this bunning method, but my hair is not long enough. Is there another alternative?? OH YEA, by the way, my name is roweena and I am 3 mths pregnant!!  Nice to meet ya!

Welcome Roweena and congrats on being pregnant!

I agree with what was said. You should be able to bun. You can also the baggie method. That has helped me retain lots of length.

I am relaxed right now, but trying to go natural. I have not had a relaxer since september, but most people say I do not need one. will let you know what type of hair i have.

Okay, I found out what my hair type is, 4a/4b/3c, kinda like Sade's, only not that darn long ( I wish)  But when relaxed, it is really thick!!!!

I know a roweena in baltimore. :sekret: Did you used to work at BCCC?

Welcome, Roweena!:)
Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I love bunning. It's a great way to keep your hair out of the way and keep your ends protected. I wear my hair in a bun about 85% of the time. If your hair is a little past shoulder length you should be able to manage a bun or an simple french twist to keep it up.

Roweena, girl stop listening to what people say you need!

dont worry honeydew, i am not. I plan on getting one in july of this year. I want to get one at least once or twice a year. Also, like i said, my hair is very fine, so if i try to bun it, it will not look like anything in the back.

Welcome! I agree with the other ladies about the bun method...It is very efficient and works for just about everybody on the board. Congrats on the pregnancy, when are you due??
