NEWBIE: In NEED of some TIPS!

I am a newbie to the sight, and I am in need of some serious tips. I am aiming for collar healthy, beautiful, long hair but in the meantime I dont know where to start.

It has been a little over two mths since I got a perm and I just dont know what to do with my head and I cant seem to figure out what my hair type is either.
