Hello all.....after being stuck to this site for almost a month I have decided to become an official member.

I'd like to thank everyone for all the information I have learned.

I am currently neck length (maybe shoulder) but I think I have come up with a plan to help promote my hair growth.

I am currently taking the following:
4800 mcg Biotin
180 mg All Thymus
500 mg Vit C
6000 mg Flax Oil
4800 mg MSM and
Shen Min Hair Nutrient

I'm not a pill popper but I have been greatly inspired by many of you but now I'm just afraid I may be DOING TOO MUCH :spinning:

Please let me know what you all think

I don't know if I'd say you're doing too much, but I think you're missing other important vitamins/minerals for total health as well as hair growth (B vitamins, A, silica, iron...to name a few). So my suggestion is always to look for a multi that contains the elements you really want as well as others that not only does it benefit you but also helps the body make better use of the ones you really care for.

A quick search for a multi with thymus in it pulled up the one linked to below, and while its quantities are not as high as you're taking, my belief is if you take too much of anything, it just goes to waste as your body cannot use what it doesn't need. I also believe that because certain supplements work best when taken with others, taking a multi is a better way to ensure what you take does get used for what you want.

Now if you want to supplement that with extra supp of one of your favored kind, and if you didn't experience any bad reactions or your doctor isn't against it, then you can add more of what you need. But whatever you decide, just do your research so you're not taking too much of an oil soluble supplement that could lead to toxicity.

Welcome to the board!!! You will learn loads more....although you get the concept of healthy hair from inside out please remember to love your tresses on the outside as well (Conditioning/Moisturizing as needed). :)

Welcome, I agree with one of the ladies above, I don't know if you are doing to much, but I think u need to take a multivitamin also, u still need the basic vitamins and minerals, cuz I take Shen min and I still take a multivitamin, but you seem to be ok....HTH....

Welcome!!!!!!!

I don't think you're taking too much at all. If you want a multi, you can take chlorella. It contains everything you need :yep: You can also try taking liquid or powder forms of your vits to mix with orange juice, so you don't feel like you're doing too much :)

i'm not a pill popper either, but the only thing i can add is that if you are going the trial and error route, i wouldn't take all those things at once. if one of those really is the magic pill, how will you know?
