New tip for braiders

Since most of us use a braid spray or moisturizer in our hair while in braids, I thought I'd share. A lot of the times I was experiencing breakage because I had a lot of product built up at the base of my braid ( besides potentially ripping out the hair, it's a killer to clean out). This time around ( I was in braids for about 6-7 weeks) I sprayed the braid spray into my hands and then applied down my braids, so that the product could not build up at the base, but my hair was still moisturized. I experience 2/3 less breakage this way. I am more excited about this then the growth!! This was something new to me and I hope it will help y'all!

Great tip, I have been doing something similar myself.

While wearing braids this summer I gave up on store bought braid sprays and made my own. When it came time to take my braids out I had no problems with build up.

Great tip though! Thanx.

Do tell, please.:)

I also found that I got alot less breakage when I used some type of braid removing spray/solution when taking them out. Plus I would put conditioner in the night before and let it sit over night....
