Your pics are great. I love the one with your son.

Am I the only person who doesn't rollerset all of the hair to the back?

Onepraying,

I love your step by step album on how to do a rollerset. I do mine very similarly.

Do you re-roll your hair when you go to bed or do you wrap it?

Thanks

Hand going up. I do the center going back, rest going down.

@onepraying, you do a great roller set.

Your hair looks wonderful! Very shiny and full :) You're making want to go home and do a rollerset now....and practice using the metal clips instead of the plastic covers....

Hugs,
Crys

Thanks ladies for your feedback. My kids are too much!

Webby, KAddy, I'm gonna try and roll a different way and see what happens.

I haven't attempted to re-roll, especially in those rollers! I slept in them Monday night and my neck STILL hurts.

The girl, Angela, at the Dominician salon I went to in the summer said they finger roll and bobby pin each curl. There is a spanish name for it but I can't remember. Anyway, I haven't tried that yet either. I have tried wrapping it, but it looks terrible. I just wear it for one day, then pin it up and cover with a satin cap for bed, then style it into some sort of updo when I get up the next day. I then wash and set again that night.

I like the practice and the results I get; so I make time for it.

Thanks again you guys!

Thanks onepraying. I know what you are talking about regarding the finger rolling and then clipping with a bobby pin. That doesn't work for me at all! The curls are bent and the bobby pin leaves a hard dent. Not cute at all.

Thanks again for your reply.

Pretty have you tried using the metal clips instead of the bobby pins? That's what I use and I don't get a clip mark.

Hi Kaddy,

What the real problem is, is that the curls will be flat/smooshed from me laying on them. So if I do an invisible roller technique since they don't have an actual round object to keep them in that form they flatten completely.

Thanks for the recommendation though. :-)

Your rollerset came out so nice. My hands start to hurt as I move toward the back, otherwise I would do my own.

OK, I think mine isn't the exact thing you are talking about. I'll do some tonight and take a pic. My hair is already flat when I use the clip so the smooshed curl wouldn't be a problem.

Do you mean the kind that you lay the curl to the side and then clip it? Meaning 1st you would roll it with your fingers and then tilt it to lie flat against your scalp and then place a clip? If so, I did those for a long while earlier this year, and it actually was okay, but, sometimes I didn't like how the curls would come out.

That's exactly it. I found that making bigger sections made my result better than when I would use smaller sections. The only other thing I can suggest is pulling your hair back and then tying your scarf on and roll all of your hair under and secure underneath with a metal clip. I did that last night. I used to do that all the time back in the day. That's my lazy night styling technique.

Do you mean like your arms and stuff get tired and ache? If so, what I do is sit down and rest my elbows on the countertop and roll like that. But, I'm a tall lady and have long arms.

Thanks for the instructions. I printed them for inspiration on trying to wetset my hair one day when I get the courage.

Giiiiirl, you did a great job with that rollerset. :) Your hair came out looking so healthy and bouncy. I still haven't mastered this. :ohwell:

Hey Pretty,

I added a few pics of my lazy night hair to my photo album. I also added a few pics of what you describe above.
