New relaxer-hair line by CHI flatiron manufacturer

I slipped into a "for professionals only" beauty supply store the other day and got chummy with an employee who was dying to tell someone about a new relaxer and line of hair products made by the company that makes the CHI flat iron (Farouk). She'd attended a hair show where she saw the product line and a model. She didn't know much about the relaxer but said the model's hair looked and felt incredible. I haven't been able to find anything subtantive on the web.

Farouk describes it as "the newest, most innovative revolutionary relaxer and color system in the industry, makes hair relaxing a sure enjoyment for all your clients."

Have any of you heard anything about this line? It's called Farouk Systems - Deep Brilliance.

I recently had a consulation with a JC Penney stylist who raved about this! It's supposed to be more gentle than other relaxers and it's supposed to leave the hair in great condition. She said it's better than Affirm, which she used to use, but she's now recommending the Deep Brilliance to her clients. It comes in both lye and no-lye formulations. I may decide to try it if or when I relax again.

if the website is a reflection of the product i will pass. those hair models hair looks busted and in some cases looks like a weave!! NO! still, i like the farouk biosilk so they might be good products. i just hope theyre not trying to push flatironing as healthy for relaxed hair (on a regular basis anyway).
thanks for the info and def. keep us posted.

I don't mean to be mean, but that very first model's edges look eaten up. But some of the products sound interesting.

If the relaxer is gentler than Affirm, I would love to hear anyone's review about it. Thanks for sharing.

perfect peace

[/ QUOTE ] I have to agree. Why use models with weaves to sell your product.

I'll pass on this one.

I read a story on this line in Sophisticates Blakc hair, the main hairdresser for the line said they used a model with a weave to prove a point that there products can be used to dye weave hair too. Basically it is to convince you that whatever need you have they can fulfill. LOL
