NEW PROFECTIV PRODUCTS!!!

I don't know if this has been mentioned already due to missing out on like 8,000+ posts on this board alone in the past month.

But in my (Halle Berry cover) Sophisticates black hair magazine I notice a NEW, need I say it again NEW Profectiv adverts with like 4 or 5 new products on the market.

I went to the website that same day and it hadn't been updated. I haven't been back there yet though.

Does anyone know what these new products are, have they seen them or used them yet? You know I'm itching to try these new ones.

BTW the model's hair was BEAUTIFUL, even better IMO that the red haired model

I think I've seen that ad, too. The main model has a gorgeous, very healthy looking slightly below chin length bob. I saw the products in Walmart a few days ago. The one in the can just looks like oil sheen spray to me... One of them is the 3 Phase Oil. The purple one is a leave-in conditioner. I've never used any of the Profectiv products, but the ingredients look pretty good... My only complaint about Profectiv products is that the containers are so

A friend of mine loves the Root Health. She said she would seriously consider selling her children for a tub or two.

Sassy, Don't EVER believe the models they have on those boxes... it's a sham. My best friend used to model for those boxes and flyers.

She was a mixed girl.. her mama is white. She has 2a hair... they had her on one of the relaxer boxes.. girlfriend ain't never seen a relaxer a day in her life. Her other friend modeled too.. They gave her a wet set and had her on the cover of one of those jhericurl-type boxes.. talking about look at my curls.. I can't speak for all of the products out there but just look at the boxes with caution.. don't get bamboozled.

I would never buy a product just because the person in the ad looked good (that's their job!), but the image sure doesn't hurt.

But to put someone on a relaxer box that doesn't even have a relaxer (any brand of relaxer!) is just pitiful!

The last time I fell for an advertsing trick it was when I expected the Swiss Miss to hop out of the box of hot chocolate and talk to me.

If I even thought about using the skinny comb in that ad, my hair would jump out of my scalp on it's own...

In the Pantene R&N ad, the models look like they are wearing wigs. Same goes for the Mane n' Tail model.

My favorite "before and after" is either a Doo Gro or Don't Be Bald ad where the model is obviously holding her head down and scrunching her neck up in order to make her "after" hair look longer!

LMAO you noticed that head stretching thing too huh? How bogus was that. I have to agree the Pantene Relaxed ads, their hair is not their own, defintely a weave or a wig.
 
In the Pantene R&N ad, for some reason, I think that the girl with the straight (relaxed hair) is hers, but the girl with the spiral curls..I think that's a relaxer with curls....I suspect some false advertisement..
 
Hey Ladies,

I have tried 3 Profectiv products, the Healthy Ends (pink), the Mega Growth (yellow) and the Mega Moisturizer. I see the 1st 2 have been already reviewed and they are very good for my hair which is 4A category and dry, I need to apply them daily to keep the moisture. The Mega Moisturizer feels like it has cones in it, but I think its heavy glycerin base. I did not like it for every day as a moisturizer, but after a roller set at the salon this make the hair very shiny for the entire day. I am curious about the new shake it up Profectiv. If any of you try it, please report.

For the 1st half of my life, I could not understand why my hair didn't look like the hair models. Finally, I was informed that the magazine models have weaves and that the relaxer models usually don't have 4b hair before the relaxer.

ORS ads are scandalous so are many others. A lot of times, they are combing the hair one way to show the bald spot and combing it another to show that the hair grew back.
 
Profectiv Growth N Healing had an unexpected benefit for me. When I apply it to the nape area, it keeps that area super moist. I tried it all over and it didn't do the same thing, but it feels wonderful in spot treatment areas.
 
Been using the profectiv 3 in one phase oil that I got for free. I use it on my edges and on my scalp and it does my hair wonders. I love it and when it is all gone will be purchasing some more!
 
I just purchased their anti itch liquid serum. I hope it works.

I forgot that I tried this and it made my hair itch uncontrollably. The same thing happened this time.
 
I've been using the one in the yellow jar these past few days and I like how it feels on my hair; not too heavy or watery. I think I'll stick with it at least until the jar runs out

I ignored them too. Since I discovered hair message boards, I don't spend any money on hair care products. I basically found what I liked and stuck with it. I only ventured to the Profectiv line because of the raves from this board.

What does it do for your edges? Mine are thinning and I would like to try it if it encourages growth....please advise....thanx!!

Luna, my edges have been breaking too since having cornrows with synthetic hair. I have only been using it for a week but I have noticed a difference (could be wishful thinking on my part but I feel it is real). Also, I use it on my scalp. I have had horrible problems with itching and since using it I have had no problems. I never payed any attention to Profectiv products til I started coming to this site nad I strongly recommend this 3 in one oil. If you end up trying it send me a pm and let me know what your results are like
 
I don't know about their new products, but I just bought their healthy ends product today, so far, I like it. I noticed it also softened my new growth a tad, so I'm tempted to try their break free product(called break something). I've also tried their anti thinning. Their stuff makes my hair really soft and moisturized. Finally, a good line of products!!!!!!!!
 
Has anyone been successful in locating this new 3 in 1 stuff? I've been everywhere and no one has it.

Profective is officially my new favorite brand.. I love everything they have and now I need this new stuff in order to be complete.
 
I found the Phase Oil and a grocery store. I've also seen the oil sheen, but the others will not be out until June. (saw that in Ebony)
 
In addition to their MegaGrowth and RootHealth, I have tried their Anti-Thinning Circulation Stimulant and the Long N Healthy that comes comes in the bottle. I really do like these products. My hair really feels soft when I use it. I also use it on my 9 year old daughter. Like everyone else, I wish these bottles were bigger. I was able to find the whole line at a BSS here in New York. I saw Anti-Breakage 3 phase oil, but didn't get it. I'll pick it up next time, though... Supposedly they will send you free samples if you fill out this form... http://www.strengthofnature.com/forms/samples.html
