The reason I got this thing in the first place. Actually I really like the weave. I'm enjoying weaving this time around because it's a CHOICE and NOT A NECESSITY. It's such a freeing thought to know that I don't need this weave for fabulous hair. However, my hair is being protected, and it's GROWING. It's not even nearly 4 weeks and I have crazy growth. I'm going to be getting it redone in December.

The ONLY thing I don't like about this is the hair itself. I went cheap and got Outre Velvet Remy (well not that cheap, mid-range @ $69 and $79 a pack of hair) and I HATE IT. It tangles and needs products to stay tamed. And it gets all big and poofy too. I DID NOT expect to use my precious products on this hair, as when I used this hair in the past it behaved. :wallbash: How dare this hair assume it will behave only if I use my Moroccan Oil Intense Conditioning Mask. B@stard! In any case. I digress. I will be walking into Extensions Plus to pick up hair for my next sew in. I have a FULL weave, with the smallest amount of edges left out to put my hair up. You can kinda see that in the pics if you know how to spot a weave. But oh well. Most of the general public can't. So I'll take the risk to protect my hair.

More pics to come, I'll likely throw them in my fotki so I don't bother you guys with pics. I'm shooting again on the 12th (Nov).

Very pretty and natural looking! Also, co-signing on the hair growing like a weed under weave. Back when I had a weave (I used the same hair you're using and didn't have a problem, IIRC), I had amazing hair growth. This was long before my HHJ, so I wasn't taking care of it properly and thus, didn't retain it for long...

Love your weave! It looks really good. I hope you dont mind me copying the pic to take to my stylist for my next sew-in.

OT: Love your top too. Very nice!

Thanks guys. To answer the questions:

I have a 3 way career hustle as an actress, commercial model, and professional dancer. My dance agent in LA wanted me to get a weave to enhance my look. I quickly agreed as I don't like folks up in my hair (imagine a LHCF fanatic in a stylist's chair shoot day... Um yeah). I shoot many things from music videos (NOT as a vide-h*e, as a dancer. Think Janet, Beyonce, MJ, folks like that), commercials, film/tv, etc etc. This particular shoot was for my own marketing tools. The guy who shot this also shot Eva (Pigford) Marcille, Raven Simone, and a bunch of other folks. These pics were just about straight out of the camera perfect, he's really good! And no studio lights! That's all natural sun light. The make-up artist is Victoria Beckham's personal MUA, and has worked with many others. She's great.

Thanks for the compliments on my arms, attributed to dance and weight training.

And Angelnoir, yes you may show these to your stylist lol. I have some others in my fotki too. The full head weave is great, I have no worries about my own hair being damaged. I have a net weave actually, so the tracks have no contact with my hair. I use a nozzle bottle to apply stuff to my scalp. I wash or co-wash about 2-3x a week because I dance and/or workout just about everyday (except Sunday, lol. Only day off) and I SWEAT LIKE A PIG. Sometimes I'll try to just co-wash the length of the weave just to get the sweat out. In any case, I deep condition and focus on my own hair when washing/conditioning. I dry under a bonnet dryer and blast my hair under the net with a warm/low heat blowdryer if needed for further drying. I use coconut oil on the weave itself (doesn't weight it down, it gives it a nice shine and makes it manageable. I use a small amount.) and a little leave in conditioner as well. I try to MT my scalp when I remember, which is like 1x a week so far because I usually forget, lol.

I have EP and you know how ppl hype things up but there is NO back up? I wish you can see my hair. Right now I have an EP install of the EPSRT 14in with about a half-in part leave out.

You probably know all of this, but to get the hairstyle you have now, I would say go for the 16in. I ordered online and didn't realise how light the colors were - I got a 1b and it's actually brown (as opposed to DRAK brown).

I would DEF buy this hair again because I thought I wouldn't have enough hair (I purchased 6oz and have a medium sized head but I actually have a whole pack un-touched) and the last two tracks in the back I purchased BSS hair. BOY THE DIFFERENCE IS REALL!!!! the back is literally always, always tangling! Always! it looks knotty no matter how much I brush it and this wasn't "cheap" bss hair!

All I'm saying is, when I first got the EP hair, I wasn't really impressed but after wearing it for almost two months (washing every other week) there is a MARKED difference in quality. This hair can EASILY be used over and over (and over).

Again, you prob know all this but.. just letting you know. :)

No homo but you are devastingly beautiful...i can spot a weave but yours is on point..i have seen some that deserve a traffic citation..

Thanks for the compliments again you guys.

The stylist cut the hair after it was installed, I had 14 and 12 inches installed for natural layers and she cut it from there. When I got home it looked a little bulky to me so I took my thinning shears, lol yes I actually have some at home, and thinned it out myself. So now it falls a lot more like my natural hair would if it were this length (well WHEN it will be this length).

Thanks TuffCookie for the advice, I'm definitely going for the EPRT hair next install. Their factory is here in LA, so I'm going to just drive my little car right up to the Valley and take a look. I hear most people usually end up using only about 4-6 oz when they install, so that's good, I know their hair is $$$. However, I know those who've used that same batch for 1yr+ because they took care of it. That makes it worth it right there.

I just love giving my hair a break, putting it in a protective style until I reach the desired length I want, rock it for a week or two, and put her right back up again, lol. I'm going to keep doing this until I'm waist length (my goal), at which time I'll likely rock it out more often since I know how to keep my hair on my head. But as soon as I'm at work, back in a weave she goes.
