Thanks ya'll. Yeah, I had a bad relaxer. My hair was fried and it wouldn't stop breaking. the crown area has been breaking for 6 years though but I think it's due to my hormones being out of wack (I have polycystic ovarian syndrome). I think that may also be why I am thinning so badly on top. I see an endocrinologist next week so hopefully he can get me on some meds and my hair can return back to normal.
Your cut looks fabulous it will grow out before you know it. I have PCOS also and though I never connected it to how my hair reacted to relaxers (they fried it and broke it off no matter how gentle they were) now I'm thinking that just might be the reason that the only way my hair grows and thrives(without breaking off) is when its natural.

Neen...I know you want to grow it long (thus being a member of a "long hair care forum" :*) ) but TWA LOOKS GOOD ON YOU!!!
With that being said...if your hair is already gorgeous...I know as it gets longer it will be even more stunning. Keep doing what you're doing...your hair is obviously happy.
