I've been reading posts here for quite some time now, but never posted. I just wanted to thank everyone here for they tips, behaviours and pics

I cut my shoulder lenght hair last year in september to a little above my ears. I then started a healthy hair regimen. One year later, my hair had grown to 21 inches (hairline to ends). So I feel very good about that, especially since everyone here is noticing the health and lenght, even my white girlfriends.
I could go on and on about my hair....
Anyway, last week, I wore my hair down for the first time in 3 months. Then one girl saw it, and tried to rup it ûp.
And my hair didn't break .
So finally, I still have problems:
- Is it possible to have 0 broken hairs/day? I have less breakage now than I ever did before, I juust want to know if I can do better. 13 weeks after relaxer, I get about 10 broken) strands /day ( yes I count my hairs

Well that's the only problem I can remember of tight now, thanks for reading.

Welcome to the board. Well I would say that it is unlikely that you would have 0 broken hairs a day due to styling but you can reduce brakage by keeping hair from being dry and reducing stress such as heat etc. protective styles are still the way to go.

Lulu, thanks for the welcoming.

Ok, so if I keep my hai rin protective styl efrom wash to wash with no manipulation ( except to moisturize znd oil it) can I get 0 breakage?
Have any of you received this kind of results before?

welcome, atahar.

I agree with lakettab, *some* amount of breakage is inevitable. But, if you're finding more than usual, it's not a good idea to extend your time between touchups just to say you did, you know? Everyone has their limit and there are ladies here who relax regularly every 8 weeks who have hair just as long and pretty as the ones who wait 12-16 weeks (3 - 4 months). That said, maximizing moisture and minimizing manipulation really helps as touchup time draws closer.

I usually touch up at 16 week sor moe so new growth is not really a problem for me now.
I just wanted to know if 10 strands/day wa sthe best I could do breakage wise.
Thanks fo rthe tips
