TRANSITION OVER! 11-22-14
I've had so much going on with my life and I've decided that along with losing weight, I need to change things that stress me. I've changed my diet and exercise, so I've also decided to change my hair. I relaxed my hair strait for the first time in 10 years. I was very stressed with my natural hair, because I couldn't do anything to it other than wash n go. If I wanted a new style, I was at the mercy of a salon. I had a nice person who cornrolled my hair, but I longed to have the skill to take care of my own hair. Texlaxed hair is cool, but it it just like my natural hair, tangles and knots. I know how to roller set and wrap my hair. It is almost no manipulation styles, and if i am having a bad hair day, I can use a phony pony. I am hoping to go from neck length to SL or APL in 08. I am also looking for relaxed regimens. I've been researching this for the past few months. I reached one goal earlier than I thought, so I decided to start now and not wait till the next year. I am hoping that I can reach all my goals this coming year or at least get close to them. I am looking forward to the support and advice I get on the board.:yep: I'll be posting pics as soon as I can.

Congratulations on taking charge! I write my goals down in bold black ink and tape them on my persoanl clip board! I wish you much success!:yep:

That is wonderful that you write out your goals, I have heard that this is the best technique and people who write down their goals are more likely to achieve them.

What is a personal clip board?

I have my goal list on my wall, PinkSkates. I've decided to spend more time doing things that will help me spiritually and physically. I'm dedicating more time to get closer to God and to be more healthy to serve Him. I was spending so much time trying to get my natural hair to look good and when I failed, I'd get so depressed and eat garbage. I am weird that way. This decision has changed the time consuming worry that I had. I am trying to keep my regimen as simple as possible. Wash 1 0r 2Xs a week and roller set, wrap, and be on my way. Less stress and I can do it myself.:yep:

Hi RH, my personal clip board is a pretty velvet purple message board in my bathroom. And my board is all about and only for me. Every other aspect of my life has to do with me being a mom, wife, work, etc... So on my personal board is just for me and my personal goals that only involve me.
I'm a firm believer in writing my goals down...seeing is believing!

DD, you are on the right track; just be focused on your goals and be consistent in your endeavours.:yep:
