New Job

Hello All,

I don't post much but I come in here everyday to read the uplifting and spiritual words that start my day off on the right foot.

Here's the situation: My last day at my current job is tomorrow and I am starting at new job where I will be 'the boss' of my department. I am quite nervous as I've never been the head of anything before. I am confident in my skills and I know that God has guided my footsteps in this matter. This is his will. What I am asking is the you pray for me that God will give me the strength to overcome these nerves and help me to focus on the task at hand. I know this is the best move for me but I am, quite honestly, scared.

I appreciate ALL prayers and thank you!

I think the fact you scared and turning to God is most of battle and says a lot about you. I would love to have a boss who I knew was turning to God for answers, strength, etc. He will help you and lead you. I am sure you already know you won't be able to please er'body....let us know how it turns out.

Thank you so much. I will definitely let you all know how things are going. I have to fly to Vermont next week for training so I'm nervous. I pray that all goes well.

If I were in your shoes I would probably be a little nervous too. That's normal but remember you got the Lord on your side and he doesn't set us up for failure. I will keep you in my prayers as you embark on this new journey and your trip to Vermont. Take care, travel safe and continue to pray

Promotion does surely come from the Lord. Remember that when the opposition comes with the attitude that you didn't gain this postion by your merits.

God has ordained this position for you, for here you will be able to free Him to move in a much needed environment, once controlled by others.

You remind me of Joshua whom God ordained to lead the children of Israel after Moses. Joshua to whom God continued to comfort with the words, "Fear not, fear not, fear not." God also assured Joshua that He has given this land over to him and that each of his enemies had already been conquered.

What blesses me most is that God told him, "Wherever the soles of your feet shall trod, I have given unto you." Even though there were still inhabitants of the land which Joshua had been assigned, God says "Fear not, for as you enter in, though there the inhabitants may be, be still and know that I have already given unto you , every inch of ground upon which your foot has found."

karmelsassy, you have already possessed the land upon which you are about to step and trod upon. It's already yours. Claim your territory and work it. Work it to the bone. Be exactly who you are and whom God has made you to be. For He has promised, "If you medidate on my word, both day and night, you will have good success!"

And God is faithful that promised.

I will. Let you know how it goes. I have to say my journey in the Lord has just begun and reading the word in the Christian forum have helped me find my way. I'll be posting more often because this is the kind of support that I need.
