(New) hairproducts on the market

Hey girls,

Loooong time lurker here with a question :-).

I live in Europe and I'm tired of seeing the same hairproducts year in year out in most (afro) hair shops I enter around the country in live in.

I've learned, just by hanging around on lhcf and other sites, that there are so many more products available out there for curly/kinky hair that I didn't know about.

I want to create a list of brands/products available so I can find out what we do and don't have around here. For myself (you can find productjunkies all around the world ;-) ), and other woman who are facing the same.

I'm not interested in reviews. I only want to know:

Your hairtype + relaxed / natural:
Past brands/products used:
Current brands/products:
New products you heard of:

Sorry if topic already excists, I tried the lhcf search option but results weren't really helpful.

Hope you can help me out.

Well, I've used so many products that I couldn't remember the names of all of them if I tried :ohwell:.

Your hairtype + relaxed / natural: relaxed/newly transitioning, type 4 I believe
Past brands/products used: Design Essentials, KeraCare, Mizani, Elasta QP, Creme of Nature, Miss Jessie's, Nexxus, Qhemet Biologics, ORS, DuGro :look:, Soft and Beautiful, Bee Mine
Current brands/products: Hairveda, Uncle Funky's, Curls for Target, Elasta QP, HydraTherma Naturals, Hick's Edges, Qhemet Biologics (when I can get it :spinning:)
Other fav brands, that are not just for "kinky" hair: Aveda, WEN, Kenra, Aphogee
New products you heard of: Truly You Curls, Zayd's, Earth's Nectar (local brands available online), Silk Dreams (member here owns it)

I haven't used these, but there's also Claudies's, Darcy's, Oyin's, KeraCare and Mizani's natural textures lines, Dudley's, Bonner Brothers, Mixed Chicks, Blended Beauty, Andre Walker's line, Quidad, Hair Rules and a bunch of folks who sell on Etsy.

Newly Natural and Quest for the Perfect Curl have a ton of reviews on even more products. It would take me all day to list the products that these ladies have reviewed.

You can also check the Vendor/Seller's Review section of the forum. We always discuss new brands there. IDareT'sHair also always has the scoop on new products!

Solitude...thank you so much for your reply. This is very helpful. I see a lot of brands that I'm not familiar with, off to do some research. :yay:

I will check out the sites you mentioned and the vendor/sellers section of the forum. Must admit that I never take a peek overthere , but I will now.

Thanks again.

Any other ladies with brands/products I can add to Solitudes list? Other links to sites I can find more info perhaps?

L.
