New growth is yummy

I did go to the doctor. They just said that I was slightly anemic.
Maybe I should have asked to get my thyroid tested.

I was thinking it might be the perm. I forgot to mention when I DC, the next day my hair is still dry like the desert. I really dont know what's going on with this hair of mine. It looks very dry too. I'll try clarifying more.

Thanks for trying to help ya'll.

Me too..It's frustrating to see people get past BSL and beyond and I just want SL:ohwell: I never wanted "long" hair.

I was thinking about making a thread but I was like they're probably tired about me and my hair drama

I really do appreciate the help though..

I'm wondering if your hair just isn't feeling "no lye"
I'm also wondering if you are doing a really good job of not overlapping
I'm lastly wondering if that moisturizer is really moisturizing your situation.

I thought I was just the only one! I love touching my NG! I've had braids in going on 7 weeks and my new growth is crazy..I've been using MT and my NG is thick and curly..I love it!

I have been fondling mine non stop. Everytime I turn around, my fingers are all up in it. lol.

I am a little over 6 months post, and I have tons of waves, coils, and fluffy random things. It all feels silky, soft, or cottony.

Well I just relaxed tonight so the NG is gone , but I loooove playing with my NG. I have so many textures and I like exploring them. There's the reallllly tightly coiled curls (4b I think), and I can stretch them and they spring back. Then there's the less tightly coiled curls in the back that are so yummy. Then there are patches with no curl pattern . Anyway it's fun playing in my NG!

I never knew. I am soooooooooooo in LOVE with my NG that I can not keep my hands out of it, I'm constantly playing in it. I love the feel of the curl, I love to just feel up and down the curl, and to for lack of better words, scrunch it between my fingers. Its soo soft and springy...I love the waves the come up when I brush it back with a scarf for my buns. I LOVE my NG.....The further post I get the more in LOVE I become.

So it's ok to come out of hiding? When I first started bunning, I would always check my bun in the mirror. Now, I can't help stalking my NG. Because I cowash regularly, it is soooooooo nice and curly, kinky, and wavy. I love the way it feels especially now that I'm 5 weeks post. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!

See this is the one thing about being natural that's kind of annoying.

My new growth and the rest of my hair all feels and looks the same so I never really have any proof that it's growing.

My friend just went natural about 6 months ago and she kind of says the same thing. But I know her growth rate has shot through the roof since going natural. She's been growing and maintaining all of her lengths, and I'm sure you are as well :yep:. What helps my friend is that she measures her hair monthly to make sure her growth is in check. So don't feel discouraged or as if all the good things you do for your hair isn't working. It takes a little longer to tell that natural hair is growing because of the curls, but trust me, all of that luscious, voluminous hair will be your pay-off.

On a side note: I always love my friend's natural twists. They look so bouncy and shiny.

I stroke my new growth - like a pet (but i just use the tip of my finger). It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside...

I was thinking that too. But I dont think I overlap much at all.

Idk..My hair's just resistant to everything nowadays..

I'm gonna wear my half wig and hide it for 6 months.

I love the new growth. This transition has reminded how thick (density) my hair is. Yayyy. When I stretch it I see the growth. Can't wait until my no heat challenge is over so I can do a real length check. :)
