New Era Platinum Hair Reconstructor

Has any one tried this? The girl at Sally's beauty was raving about this stuff, says that you get salon results and it makes your hair feel revitalized. Stylists around my way use this product alot as well. I wanted to pick it up but it was sold out. Anybody heard of or tried this?

I used to use the old New Era Reconstructor and my hair was fabulous. The Platinum is the new formulation since the old one was discontinued. I've been tempted to use the new, but I haven't.

The old one was a sticky, clear, caramel-colored liquid that lathered when you put in on (I know weird for a reconstructor) but my hair loved it. My hair really does like protein though.

Your pup is adorable by the way. I'm glad you responsed! I was starting to think that either no one tried this stuff or it was ignore Songbird day. I'm gonna try it now. Is it purely a protein thing? or is it moisturizing as well. Also, can I use this as a weekly deep condish or do I need something that is strickly for moisture?

I have this in my stash but i've never used it. I'll have to dig it out, I'm planning to do a protein treatment this weekend so I'm hoping this is a moisturizing conditioner I use afterwards. I'll update after I've used it.

I have the old New Era hair reconstructor too. It was alright when I used it straight but I love it now that a mixed it with a moisturizing conditioner. My hair feels strong and soft at the same time.

Well, I went and bought it today! I couldn't help myself. My hair loved it! I guess my hair isn't used to Shea butter so once it got a taste, it was happy. My hair looks really good, feels soft and manageable and has a lovely shine. Thats ladies for inspiring me to get this. It doesn't seem like its strickly protein. Is it possible that its moisturizing too? Because my hair feels like I just had a deep penetrating moisturizing condish. This stuff is great! A new staple for me no doubt.
