I just felt like starting a challenge for those of us who have wanted to try co-washing but never got up the nerve to try it. Whose with me?

I would be with you if I did not try it last night. I am already a satified customer:D

Here's a quick tip ladies, mix your cheapie conditioner like Suave's coconut conditioner with a teaspoon of castor or olive oil and also a tablespoon of honey. This will make your hair even more softer than using just the conditioner. Good luck!

I want to join and this will be my first challenge. I'm so excited! :D Since I'm new to this can someone give me instructions like how often and how to apply the cond. (wet or dry hair). And is blow drying ok :ohwell: I know it's usually a no no but my hair fros up with no heat and I'm relaxed.

I've seen the CW steps on the motions website - do we follow that way??

Are you supposed to add this to the bottle or to the amount you are going to put on the hair???

you can add it to the bottle or to the amount that you are going to wash your hair with. I always add it to the amount that I wash my hair with because I change up the formula from time to time using different oils or honey etc.

:) :)

You would apply it to wet hair, just take the conditioner and put it on your hair, concentrating on your ends. You don't have to focus so much on your scalp as you want to avoid buildup. Just rub it in like you would when you shampoo (don't put all your hair on top of your head! U Get tangles that way!) I prefer to do mine in sections, I leave mine on for like 3 minutes and rinse off. It's that simple! You'll love the results and I hope that my instructions were clear.:)

Thanks Alli77 ... That's pretty clear. I guess we'll do as many times per week as desired, right? I'm off to the BSS for more cond and a clip on pony to get my protective style underway. I'll put pics in later to track progress (I hope I have some :( ).

You can do them as often as you like. I used to do them every other day in the summer time and twice a week in the winter. If you do them every day or every other day, you may need to shampoo once a week to remove buildup.
