New and moving to the UK from US

Hello all!!!

I have been lurking on the board for months!!!

Let me just say that you guys have halped me so much and I am so appreciative to the people of this board. You guys are awesome!!!

I am currently going through transition and moving.:eek:

My hair was getting really thin from the perms and my stylist only deep conditioned my hair when I asked. With me moving to UK, Maidenhead to be exact for six months then to Spain for two years, I am really trying to find a regime. I know that I always did well with Nexxus products, so that is what I am going back to.

Here is my regime:
Weekly wash with Therappe
Weekly conditioner of Humectress
Biweekly conditioner of Kheraphix
Monthly reconstructor of Emergencee
Daily I use Humectress, Matrix sealing serum, and Carol's daughter Lisa's Elixer.

I am considering adding WGO to the mix.

I know that I will learn a lot from you guys and I am excited!!!:grin:

For those of you that live in the UK, are there any products listed above that you think I will have a hard time finding?? I am trying to decide what products to stock up on. :confused:

Hmm... well I've never seen Nexxus here, only overpriced on a website. So bring some of that with you!
Come to think of it, I've never seen Matrix products, Carol's daughter Lisa's Elixer or WGO here either. Bring it all with you! Even if you do find it here it'll be more expensive.

What!!! they sell nexxus here in birmingham in Juliets (i think), Beauty queens (if ya brave enough, but i know i won't step in there ever again), and TZ definetley sell nexxus, thats where i get my products, on soho rd. They sell WGO in TZ too. And as for matrix products, they sell those in brum here to, i forgot where i seen it but they do sell it here in alot of white salons... girllllllllllllllllll where u been hiding?
 
If you need relaxer i'd recommend Harriet Kessie in eat london they use mizani and affirm relaxers

I remember when I first read about Nexxus on the hair boards I looked everywhere in the city centre (I didn't think to go to Handsworth), including Juliets! Have they started stocking it recently? Since it's not a salon only brand any more...
Where is Beauty Queens?
I must be the worst shopper for products, not noticing anything...

haha nexxus been around forever and a day, its always been in TZ (on soho rd) in the glass container under the counter, they even sell it in concepts hair salon in the jewelery quarter. And beauty queen on soho rd, perry barr by big johns, and the one in town faces where the toys r us was in town. And the hair shop on birchfield rd, and vanity hair (or shades i 4got what its called) a couple doors from islands hut restaurant and russels... wow theres so many places you could go...

out of random is you want stuff like posner butter and what not theres Amys under the pavillion ramp, and the hair shop by china town at the back of the bullring, they sell nexxus... nearly everywhere does
 
OK I've definitely been to Amy's and not seen Nexxus! And the one opposite toys R us.

I haven't been to a lot of the other places you've mentioned though, as I'm from South Birmingham and it's too far (I don't drive, can't be doing with 2-3 busses!)

I'll have to look closer next time I'm in town! Maybe you could let me know the exact shelf location... :lol:
 
lol, well your moving the right time as the weather is really nice now! FINALLY. trust me, u will find exactly what u need over here, and if you dont, u can always go online ya no? where theres a will theres a way.
 
Thanks Ladies for the input. Once I get over there I may have to ask some of you for directions to some the places that you recommended.:D

I am moving over there for work. So it will not be all fun, it is a lot of work, we have a big problem right now in Europe that I need to address.
 
Crissi, I found the Nexxus products in Juliets today!
£13.95 for 400ml of Humectress though!
Some stuff was cheaper, like Aloe Rid at £5.95
I think I'll stick to getting it from the US/Canada via ebay and waiting months because I opt for ultra slow surface mail.
