I am trying to give my friend some Godly counsel on an issue she is having and I was wondering what your thougths were on this.

She said that she did something to someone that was wrong. She has since repented and turned away from that sin. She has also has apologized to the person who claims to have forgiven her but made the statement that they hope God can forgiver her. ( I don't understand how another Christian can say that to someone).

She feels that she is now on the right track with God and he is blessing her ministry, she has heard that this other person who supposedly forgave her had been bad mouthing her ministry, she will be in that persons home town soon and is worried that the person will come and cause a scene.

I told her that if she asked for forgiveness from the person and God there is nothing she can really do. God knows what is going to happen and that if she was truly sincere in her apology and repentence he will protect her.

What do you think?

If she has repented, God has forgiven her AND has forgotten her sin. Tell her to not allow this women to get to her. Tell her to stay strong and not to feel guilty about a past sin. There's no need for her to worry about it since it's already been forgiven and forgotten by God.

In Hebrews, the Bible says "He remembers your sin NO MORE!" Thank the Lord!

Thank you Poohbear that is what I told her. It is obvious that the lady has not really forgiven her in her heart. She was just giving lip service. I told her go mediate on the book of Romans especially the chapter( can't remember right now) that says that there is now no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

Plus I would think that she would be glad tha the girl has mended her ways and using her energy for the Lord. Sometimes I wonder about the heart of people.
