Hello ladies. I'm new to this forum and need some help with my relaxed hair. My current length is about an inch or so above bra strap and I'm happy with that. However, my hair is fine, fine, fine. I get roller sets every other week. I recently (1 month)started taking a multivitamin, silica, vitamin C, biotin and flax seed oil. I have been using Pantene products for a while, but just started Biosynthesis because I've heard such good things about it. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to to make my hair thicker??

Welcome!

Some ladies have had success with vitamin B5 and biotin.

Hi Stevie511,

Welcome to the board!

I have very fine and thin hair also. And I'm taking vitamin b5 (pantothenic acid). It can help a bit.

I definitely agree about the B5. My hair roots are alot thicker than they used to be. For instant all over thickness, Nexxus Headress leave in conditioner volumizes. Also New Image Damage Free Thermal Conditioner does too from Sallys (this is being discontinued though so ring around first if you really want this).

I find laying off rollarsetting and switching to wearing the hair curly with braid outs or hair pinned up helps thicken the hair too. I think its the theory of leaving the hair alone for a while.

Use Motions CPR shampoo and conditioner, and as a headdress use Profective Anti-Thinning Circulation Treatment. Trim split ends every 7 weeks (short to shoulder length) or 14 weeks (shoulder or longer) until all are gone. Try to avoid excessive heat and wear protective hairstyles.

Also, if you are looking for extra voluem, try Nexxus Diametress.

My hair is very fine too and I find that it looks so much thicker when I wear my hair in twist-outs or air-dry it with the ponytail method.

I'm also taking B5, biotin and MSM. No noticeable results yet though, except that it's 15 weeks since last touch up and amazingly, I'm not in a big rush to have it retouched!!!

My new growth is really soft!!!

My hair used to be thin and stringy. What I did, follow through with my deep moisturizing conditioning, left my hair alone, and got a really good trim. Within time, my hair began to fill out.
