After 12 yrs of locs I did a big chop July 2007. Since then I have been permed, natural and now permed again(couldn't deal with the sameness of the TWA) :drunk: . My hair is currently 1 1/2 inches all over. It is long enough to curl with a curling iron, but not with rollers. My problem is this, when I get my hair done at the salon, or do it myself it looks great, but in the morning I definitely have my work cut out for me because my hair is either flat on my head or sticking in all directions. I sleep with a satin cap on satin pillowcases which tend to make my hair very straight because my hair is very soft. My stylist suggested that I wear it spiked and I will try that this week while I am on vacation. Can anyone offer any other styling suggestions to get me through this phase?

What about wigs? You can have a new style every day while your hair is being protected underneath :yep:

I found a fix:grin:! The small rollers with the teeth grip my hair and allow me to roll my hair at night and have curls in the morning without using heat :drunk:. I wrap roller paper around the rollers first and then roll my hair, in the morning I have great curls. When I wash my hair this weekend I will try a rollerset with these and see what happens. Wish me luck!
