Hi all,

I need some protiene recommendations. I like using protein on my hair, but have not been using any hard core treatments. I don't feel competent to manage hard core treatments. What I used to use was the silk elements intense moisture mayo. I liked it, but what I didn't like about it was that it matted my hair. I think this is because it said on the side it was advertised to strengthen hair, mend split ends, etc. I think it raised the cuiticle. I now have roux porisity controller, but nonetheless, I am scared of that stuff now since it caused me matting. I didn't have a lot of breakage, and thankfully everything was fine with my hair, but since my hair does not normally mat, I don't want to use that stuff anymore.

Does anyone know of a simple conditioner that I can use for a light protien treatment. Not apogee or keraphix...I think those are too hardcore for me, I am scared of them! I don't relax my own hair, and dont' feel confident using any chemicals beyond what is needed to style my hair between relaxers and wash and condition. I have worked really hard for my BSL hair and I dont' want to break it off due to improper protein application. Please help me. All I want is a simple to use protein conditioner that I can apply like I apply moisture. Thanks!

Motions CPR is strengthening and leaves your hair soft too. Joico kpak reconstructing conditioner is good too. But I always use a moisturizing conditioner after this one.

We can't forget about Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor.

My favorite light protein conditioner is Aubrey Organics GPB:grin:... it leaves my hair strong yet so soft... I DC with it once a week on dry hair.

Thank you! Where can I get Aubreys GPB? I know I can't get it from sally's I've already been on their website LOL!

I purchase it from Vitamin Shoppe (in store and online). I love AO's conditioners!! You should give it a try!

Duo-tex!! It's excellent, search it out.
