Need some info on colored rinses

What ARE colored rinses??? Can I do one before a relaxer - say two weeks before? I'd like to do a deep dark black. I heard they are great for controling hair porosity, and I am having a problem with this at the moment.

Can someone give me any information on rinses, and brands they recommend?

I've been looking at Sebastian ColourShines and Color Showers...Anyone have any review on them?

It seems like they add protein - which I may need right before a relaxer. So I'm wonder if it's okay to do a week before relaxer day???

I would do it right after the relaxer. If not you'll take the color out when you relax

I agree with Natural Glow- you can do it before a relaxer, but the relaxer will make most of it come out. I used to use Sebastians Color Showers in black immediately after a relaxer and it would last about a month. I really liked it. I've also used rinses/semi-permanents from the Beautiful Collection, but my favorite right now is Adore Velvet Black.

Also, make sure you follow your color with a moisturizing conditioner.
