Need Reccomendations for Woman's Devotional!

Hi ladies,

I would like to purchase a good woman's devotional for a woman who has recently accepted Christ and is a working single mother. Any recommendations?

Please, please, please check out anything by Sheri Rose Shepherd. I recommend starting with a book called "His Princess". It's a devotional filled with personal love letters from Jesus to the reader, each connected with a specific scripture. It's specifically written for women and really is a wonderfully written book. I'm almost brought to tears every time I open my copy to read it.

I'm a firm believer that those who are new to Christ need to get established in His love first before moving on to any other topic in the Christian faith. This devotional really helped me get a revelation of the breadth and depth of Jesus' love for us, and I'm a much better person as a result.

There is also "His Princess Bride", which is written from the perspective of a Prince to his Princess, and "Prayers to my King", which is a book of prayers that was written to help women intimately connect with God.

Please consider Taffi Dollar's 21-days Your Spiritual Makeover...it's the 'small' things in your Walk that matters and she'll show you how, day by day. A very practical book. My mom 'borrowed' my copy and I haven't got it back yet...

I also have 'Good Morning, it's God!" by Joyce Meyer.... another very encouraging and practical book that you can read daily. It's infused with Wisdoms along with the corresponding Scriptures.

Love, love, love Joyce Meyer devotionals. She's one of my favorites because she's so practical about everyday life.

Also, Taffi Dollar is my co-pastor, and I can attest to the fact that she knows what she's talking about. I really like the compassionate and understanding approach to women's issues that she takes in her books.

I consistently hear wonderful things about Beth Moore. I haven't read her yet, but different friends have given her books high praise.
