I can't recall where it is - old testament or new - but there is some verse that says to do good to your enemies, for in doing so you heap fiery coals on their head. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find it?

(Bonus question - How "Christian" does that seem to you - to be kind to someone just to make them mad. *lol*)

Pro 25:22For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee.

Rom 12:20Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

I think the point is not to make them mad but that you are being bigger than the situation with your enemy. It is like the saying killing them with kindness. As Christians when we exhibit the ability to be kind to our enemies, we are showing them that they have no power to move us to act like they do. In the end, they will have to answer for why they continued to be enemies to someone who was kind with them and we will be rewarded for demonstrating this Christ-like quality. Look at Jesus, even from the cross he asked God to forgive his murderers for they did not know what they do. He didn't ask God to smite them off the face of the earth. He was rewarded for his obedience and got his seat at the right hand of God.
