Need an elegant protecive style

Hi all i've come here for help....ive searched endless websites looking for and elegant ps or updo, i'm half way through my transition and my hair is just above apl and i'm going out this weekend. i dont want to use heat, i dont mind braiding half and curling some(with curlers)....no weaves no hair pieces, i want to achieve this look naturally. any suggestions/ pics would be greatly appreciated

Two strand twists which you can then bun, pony tail and style with perm rods, curl-formers or flexi rods.

Yea, I'm with PR - two strand twists, or a two strand twist out, stretched on rollers/perm rods, etc. Set under the dryer then undo the twists and roll in a bun.

No pics, but I hope you have the visual. The extra texture of the rolled ends and the twist out should hide the contrasting texture. Just make sure you stretch the hair and use good product to help achieve a smooth look. You can also band the front to lay down your edges.
