Ok ladies what necessary steps are needed for healthy hair, for example

Shampooing, DC'ing, protein treatments, pre poos, etc

What are the necessary steps in the correct order and please add how often each should be done?

I kinda think this is purely individual. IMHO, there are no necessary steps or necessary amount of times someone has to do something, it all depends on the person's hair and what it needs at the time. As far as I know, some women do conditioner washes (which my hair hates) or daily washes (which my hair also hates), and some who don't even do protein treatments at all (which my hair needs). So I think it's best to learn what your hair likes and what works for you.

For me: I pre-poo by doing a hot oil treatment. I shampoo my hair twice a month, and clarify once a month. [If my hair needed protein, then I would do it after the shampoo]. Then deep condition without heat, then airdry. I don't use heat, and only comb on wash days to detangle. I moisturize every couple days and seal with a little oil. I try to henna/indigo once a month. I don't trim or cut, and baggy at least 4 times a week. I do a strong protein treatment (Aphogee) before each relaxer and a moderate protein treatment (Emergencia) the first wash post-relaxer (2 weeks later). I relax every four months. I try to do low-manipulation hair styles like braid outs, that not only reduce the need to comb my hair, but allows me to leave it alone. I rarely wear my hair down, and if I do, it would be when I'm wearing a tank top so that I don't have my ends brushing against my shirt.

These are just things that I learned that worked for me along the way. Internal health (drinking a lot of water and having a good diet) is just as important as how you handle your hair. The products you use, and knowing what ingredients in products to avoid is very important as well. There are many techniques that different people do, hopefully others will chime in and let you know what works for them, then you can choose what will work best for your hair/lifestyle. HTH!!!

I personally think all hair would benefit from moisturizing daily, deep conditioning regularly, and minimizing direct heat use.

5 things:

Condition wash hair at least 2x a week
Protect your ends (for me protective styles)
Stretch Relaxer (12 weeks for me)
Daily moisturizer in morning in evening (NTM silk or Herbal Essence)
Minimal Heat (thermal protectant) especially no blow fryers

Shampoo at least once a week- be sure not to use a ton of it, you might be suprised with how little you need
Deep Condition after every wash or co wash
Protein as needed- Don't put yourself on a scheldule. I did that and I was overdoing the whole year. I kept getting breakage and couldn't figure out why. In generaly light protein should be used every 2-3 weeks. As your hair health improves, you might not need to use protein as much.
