I did a search but i can't find anything
How do you ladies make your hair stay flat under the wig? i was thinking flat twsiting it all back but i still think the little bumps will show :ohwell:

Also what is your hair regime whilst wearing a wig?

I've been flat twisting my hair with the ends braided so it doesn't loosen too much this month under my wig. Haven't had any problems. A few pictures of wigs in fotki.

I do a modification of this braided circle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RJipOPRtyzk

And I follow the C&G (crown and glory) routine as long as my hair is cornrowed underneath. Most times, I miss my hair and take it down for washing and deep conditioning; but sometimes I wash and condition while in the braids. For now, I wear a wig daily.

I wear a stocking cap on top of small individual plaits then i put my wig on

i think it would be easier if you cornrow ur hair all the way back but since i dont know how to do that i stick to the above method

i wash my hair once (maybe twice) a week and keep it in individual plaits all the time

i also spritz w/ a glycerin/water/jojoba oil mixture

In the past I have done twists, cornrows and would wear a stocking cap or even a conditioning cap if I was doing the baggy method. But there may come a time when you may not be able to do this because your hair has gotten so thick while being natural that the volume just will not allow you to do that any longer.

If I am wearing a wig, I will cornrow my hair straight back in small cornrows. I put a horizontal braid on the nape to keep it from snagging and haning outside of the wig.

When I wear a wig I do some bootleg looking "cornrows" or flat twists as flat as I can. Then I make sure to wear a stocking cap over them. This works pretty well. While braided I use Hawaiian Silky 14n1 to moisturize because it is a spray and moisturizes pretty decent. Then I seal w/some type of oil. At night I remove the wig and cap and check my hair's moisture; I moisturize as needed. After a week I take the braids/twists out, wash, DC, and redo them. I did this during a hide your hair challenge and got good results.
