I'm sorry I can't say if it's absolutely necessary cause I guess it depends on the state of your hair. I would think it's a good idea...but I personally do use a leave in every wash. I deep condition with Aveda Deep Penetrating Revitalizer during my weekly wash and I use their Elixir every time as my leave in.

I still use a leave-in. I deep condition only after shampooing, and even still I think my hair can use the extra moisture.

I agree. As a matter of fact, I deep condition after washing and clarifying and then I add my leave-in. The clarifying provides a nice pallatte for my deep conditioner.

Half of what I use/do probably isn't "necessary" but I'm trying to give my hair all the moisture it can stand. :D

I use a leave-in every time I wet my hair. I use it to minimize tangling and to assist with retaining the water from my wet hair. I'm not sure it's necessary, but it's force of habit.

I always use a leave-in. I think I even use leave-ins after conditioner washes. :) I like the Sedal keraforce leave-in and the Herbal Essence's break's over (purple bottle) leave-in.

Always use a leave-in after any kind of wash or wet. Currently using Beauty Without Cruelty leave-in or Giovanni Vitapro (diluted).

I use a leave in all the time, no exceptions, lol. I leave in a little regular conditioner that I use (Devacurl One Conditioner) and BBD Stretch.

I always use a leave in whether I deep condition or con wash. I'm currenly using a little nexxus humectress mixed with a tad of oil.

I use a leave-in (Giovani Direct...I love that stuff) after my weekly DC (this helps to detangle me hair). I then use a leave-in and jojoba oil to seal my ends every night for moisture (then baggy). HTH

Does anyone have a problem with leave-ins reacting poorly with hair gel?
Sometimes, mine curdles almost like milk when lemon juice is added.

I've had that happen when I've mixed certain products together, like BBD Stretch and Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding. Something in those two don't agree with each other. I know it happened with Stretch with another combination, but works fine with my Fantasia IC combo and other combo's.

I deep condition at almost every single wash and I always use a leave in and then seal it with a little oil or butter.

Nexxus Humectress, Aveda Elixir, Phyto Organics Luxxtress are some of my favorite leave ins.

I always use a leave in after every wash. I spray diluted infusium then follow up with a creamy leave in like ntm, profectiv, or garnier frucis and then seal with an oil wgo or olive oil.

i always add a little leave in with every wash. helps keep it managable and prevents it from reforming tangles after washing.

I always use a leave-in too. I alternate with Giovanni direct, or Garnier Frutis. I then seal it with Jojoba or Sweet Almond oil.

I always use a leave in. I don't use any other serum or mousse or gel though. So my leave in is for moisture and shape. Plus olive oil :)
