Naturals: What's your favorite butter

Does it have to be a "butter" butter? Lol

If yes- then shea it is. Y? Cuz I need a heavy butter to keep the moisture sealed in my dense strands.

If by "butter", you mean any seal-er, then it's castor oil, hands down- makes my hair butter soft. I put that *%$#* on everything :yep:

I don't use butters, I have fine strands even though I'm a 4A/B so butters tend to weigh the hair down. I've tried shea butter and didn't like it. I prefer it on my skin :yep:

I like the moisture that Shea Nilotica gives
I like the healing properties of Shea (yellow raw), Kukum and Illippe Butters have:)

Almond butter! Tastes soooooo good!!!!

Oh wait, hair butters is whatchu talmbout.

Ahem...I don't know anyfin about hair butters. *tiptoes out of thread*

i like enso naturals hydrating hair butter.
well idk if you need a butter for sealing, or moisturizing.
enso naturals is moisturizing.

but i dont lik shea butter, makes my hair feel coated and weighed down. and i have thick strands.

I second the shea butter! I haven't tried any others yet. I want to try avocado butter next.

My favorites...(in order)

Qhemet Biologics Amla & Olive Heavy Cream (Like water, this is a MUST HAVE)
Oyin Handmade Whipped Pudding (smells divine & you can use it on your skin)
Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter (people shouldn't sleep on this)

If I had to choose a raw butter for my hair, it would be OLIVE BUTTER.

I'm kinda dull when it comes to this stuff, but I think it's taken me two years to figure out my hair doesn't like shea butter. It seems weird, because most seem to like it.

My favorite butter is Seyani Hair butter and I also like the new Brazilnut Butter Cream from shescentit.

Why? Because I liked their texture and they seem to moisturize my hair and yet also seem to just disappear on my ends.

Red Palm Butter.

I have very fine hair. But the way this melts when I rub it in my hands, I can just smooth it into my hair. And my hair still feels great. I use it to seal my breads after using Hawiian Silky. I also use it after I flat iron.

When it comes to "butter" for my hair, I prefer Jane Carter's Nourish & Shine which is a mixture of natural butters: Shea butter, Kokum butter, Illippe butter, Mango butter.

Man shea butter does my hair so wrong :nono: I want to try Almond butter or avocado butter (yes I know they aren't "true" butters) but they look yummy:lick:

I like shea butter mixed with coconut oil and want to try out the other butters like avocado or shealoe.

like a few posters in this thread, my hair is not a lover of raw shea. makes my hair hard... not even hard; tough. so i haven't used it in just over a year.

BUT i recently decided to try SheaAloe from lotioncrafters and oh my goodness. if this product was a man i would drop and give it babies... and stick around when he cheated... and... raise the children from his other relationships :look: i love it THAT much.

for those of you who hate shea try SheaAloe. of course try other butters too. there were lots here i have never used (brazil nut sounds :lick:) but i just can't believe how amazing SheaAloe is.

warning: it smells not nice (kinda like a buttery plaster). if you decide to try it whip it w/ some delicious smelling EO. i chose peppermint EO and now it smells and looks like icing... i have to force myself to not ingest it :drunk:
