Has anyone used long aid gel for them?
Which rollers do you use?
Which products?...which method?
what what what?

I use the ponytail rollerset method, and I can't stop singing the praises for it. It gets my hair straight, smooth, and silky and I blow dry my roots on cool. I use the purple rollers and make 8 ponytails, four on thee left and four on the right. For products I use GVP Paul Mitchell The Conditioner, Chi Silk Infusion, and in my spray bottle is Giovanni Direct Leave-In and Distilled water. Before I used to do the full head rollersets and would always end up in tears because I my hair is way too thick and hates being manipulated while wet. It would tangle and knot something terrible, but now I have none of those troubles. Now it only takes me about 20 minutes to roll my hair compared to 2 hours :yep:

I completely agree. I use the pony tail method as well. I have 3 vertical sections with a 2-4-2 breakdown. I just started with the purple rollers this past weekend (this takes about 55m to dry) from the red rollers (they took about 1h15m for me to dry). I'm also going to try with the grey rollers this week/weekend. ETA: I physically can not rollerset without the ponytail method

I use Black and Sassy Creamy Set (or Creamy Wrap) and my hair is never crispy no matter how much I put on. After I'm dry, I wrap it for a few minutes to get the ponytail dents out and I flat iron my front edges and the hair where I like my part. This takes all of 5-7 minutes.

I LOVE THE PONYTAIL METHOD. I like my MOSTLY natural hair straight, and this method lasts long than any blow dry/flat iron I've ever had. I can't speak highly enough! :yep:

Has anyone used long aid gel for them? Sorry, I have not.
Which rollers do you use? I use green and maroon mesh rollers.
Which products?...which method? I use Salerm 21, serum, Mizani setting lotion. I rollerset in two halves.
what what what? That's it!

Good post OP - cuz the one roller set I tried didn't turn out the way I expected it to, so I haven't tried another one since. I think I may have to try the ponytail rollerset and see how it turns out now.

Thanks ladies.

I use the method hair love has on her website. I love it. I used pink and green mesh rollers. I use PM the conditoner and just water in my spray bottle.

Which rollers do you use? Grey Ones.
Which products?...which method? Coconut oil and other natural stuff in the spray bottle.
what what what? My hair is usually already parted into sections that can be braided or - Rolled up.

Usually - I have to stay under the dryer a long time.

I like adding an egg to my conditioner, but I have not done it before rollersetting. That would just make it too long an experience. With washing, DC, setting and sitting under the dryer, it is long enough:grin:

I may be the only one that does not use the ponytail method (the first time I did I'm sure - now that I look back - that I used way too many ponytails & had a horrible experience lol)... I use the mohawk method with the double prong clips. I use red (I moved up in the roller world yay!!), green, and brown!! I use ORS foaming wrap lotion, spray bottle with water, and aveda smooth infusion. I use a little wrap lotion, comb through, then I part my scalp (no real measurements, just whatever I think can fit on the roller nicely). I dab some smooth infusion on the hair & brush through then I roll. as my hair gets dry, i refresh with the water bottle...that's it! it does take me at least two hours with rolling & drying, but it's a big difference from the 3-4 hours when I first started. I also do it at least every other morning when I wake up.

I did the ponytail rollerset method the other day but I ran out of rollers :lachen: cause I did a lot of small ponytails. Next time I will try Libra08's method with the 8 purple rollers.

The other day I put GVP leave-in and a squirt of Giovanni Direct leave-in in my bottle, and filled up the rest with water. My curls were really perfect, but I had to flat iron them out cause the top was in a twistout.

Here are some pics of the end result of my ponytail rollerset with the roots blown out. The second pic is when I pin curled it. Hope this helps!
