I have tried this countless times, but I can't seem to get it right. Mine tend to "flop" on it's sides.

How do u make yours?
What do u use to hold it with?

Thanks for sharing

Hey Peachtree,

Your texture is very similar to mine. My "puff" flops too. I think the only possible way to prevent that is to put absolutely no product on it and comb it out.

Maybe others have better suggestions cause I kinda gave up on it.

I use one of those comb pony tail holders that you wrap around your hair a couple of times to hold it. I get them from walmart. My hair is much shorter than yours though probably, so I don't know if it's probably "flopping" because of length!!

i think the flopping maybe because of length, texture, and product...try wearing ur puff back further on ur head..a low puff...i seem to always end up with a puff on days when im frustrated and thats all i can make lol...by then i will have brushed alot with the boar bristle brush and there is no curl left....i cant call it on product cuz i use whatever i have grabbed for that day....i tie my back with either a fat shoelace, a scarf if i can find one or some curly strings (made of yarn that has been crocheted that is curly on the ends)

yeah, its tough to puff when your hair is so long! i have a feeling that no matter HOW long my hair gets i wont have a problem, cuz my shrinkage is like WHOA!

i usually just comb through my hair when its soaking wet and has some detangler in it...and then i wrangle it back with a doubled (or tripled) up scuunchi headband and then i just pat it round and let it dry....

I was using the comb headband things too. My hair isn't that long right now either, and it really gave my puff a lot of volume, and it made my hair look much longer than it actually is! :D

Thanks girlfriend

Not even leave in conditioner? But now that I think about it, my leave it will weigh it down (aka "flop"), cuz I use a cheapie conditioner as my leave in....

... thanks for the pointer

I might just have to "blow it out" to get this to work. If I do the blow out, I'm gonna use the cool setting... maybe that'll keep my hair from going straight :ohwell: ...

Oh yeah, NGC & I do have similiar textures... I'm in awe at her hair :) ... especially her braids   ... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

OK, if Ayanapooh uses the comb headband thingy then that seals the deal... cuz y'all know how I like to... :sekret: uhhh, "borrow" Anayapoohs hair styles
