Hi Ladies! Happy M~Day,

I am working today. Yesterday, (on the spare of the moment) -- I decided to put some box braids in my hair. Originally I wanted twists, but they just didn't pan out that way.

Nevertheless, I usually plan for 1hr to get ready for work. But today, literally I planned for 1 hr, but it only took me 30mins. <light bulb> :brainy: I realized that it has been MY HAIR that has me pushing against the time in the morning.

Now I've always known that protective styles save time but 45mins? I can now stop kissing the side of my bus as it leaves me behind because I have been trying to perform "perfection" with my hair in the mirror! :pepper:
I can just get up --get dressed--and begin my day!

With this story scenario in mind -- Tell me, How long does it take you to get up and out the house because you are trying to create that perfect hair motion?

umm 5 mins on hair max.

Ive never been one to spend much time on my hair ... ever.
If I my style takes me more than 5 mins to do, then it needs to be changed

I'm transitioning so it takes me 1 minute to put on my wig cap and wig or 5 minutes to do a perfect puff. I noticed from trying styles on youtube like braid outs that they take forever to take down and I don't see how folks do it before work and make a video doing it! I already struggle with "tardy for the party syndrome" so spending too much time on my hair once I'm natural is a fear of mine.

It takes me about 5 mins to put my wig on. But when I wore my hair out, it takes me about 10 mins. I take my braids out that I put in to stretch my hair out, and then put it into a puff.

Hmmmm, at the most flatironed, twistout, or bun i would say about 10 minutes. If anything, most of my prep time would happen the night before (putting in twists, co washing and detangling, throwing in flexirods, etc)

Pook, I spent 3 minutes laughing at your siggy!! GIRL THAT IS HILIAROUS!!!

I've been wearing wigs for about a year now and I'm sick of them. I wish someone would have told me that natural curly hair doesn't hang until you are about APL (straightened).

But I just lightly blow dry my hair and slick it back into a bun. I even found a nice textured human hair ponytail.

I just did the BC and it's been taking me about 30 minutes. I am still trying to figure out 2nd day hair with short hair.

always wearing my low manipulation braid n' curl. Takes one minute to take of scarf, shake and go.

my shower time is what hold me up. I needs my 15 minutes of running water!

Whenever I have to do my hair in the am it always results in me being late. :nono: Protective styles are the way to go.

take me about 5 minutes to spritz my hair, put in my wig cap and wig..if my hair is out..i will have to undo my plaits, fluff it out and do a perfect puff which can take about 10-15 minutes

This is the main reason I started wearing braids and twists back in 07.

Thank all of you ladies for your input. I can't do the wig thing (I loose my hairline), so I think it's C~n~G for a while.. Or just braid b\c I am feeling lazy these days...hahahaha

It takes me 10-15 min. to do my hair in the morning. I twist or braid it up at night, and in the morning I unravel them, fluff, and go.

Wash n gos would take me so much time. At least 10 minutes to manipulate curl definition. Now when I wear my busted twists, it takes 1 minute if I decide to leave them alone. I just always try to fix the fuzzy ones and end up messing up the whole style.:nono::blush: I'm learning to be satisfied with fuzzy twists.:eyebrows2:grin: I have 30 minutes in the morning to shower, dress, and go to work.

5-10 minutes. More if I'm co-washing and detangling, less if I'm unraveling twists or just taking off my scarf/bonnet and going.

Not long. I spend most of my time in extension styles and when its out, I spend most of that time wearing puffs. I'd say 15-20 minutes including time to cowash.

It takes me exactly 30 minutes to wash my face, brush my teeth, cowash, detangle, shower, and make a bun. I don't spend that much time on my hair and I love it that way.

I'm transitioning but I'm sick of wigs now (all that autumn and winter wigging it!)
Now I have been wearing buns (5 mins on hair to spritz in the morning!) but I'm feeling bored with that style.
I'm going to source some soft kinky twisting hair tomorrow, by God's grace (another BSS trip....Yay!) The kinky twist go in hopefully over the weekend. I want to try bunning and french rolling the twists (as practise for my longer hair )
What slows me down is my makeup routine (5-10 mins), I may have to leave off the concealer and just prime and foundation it up!!

It takes me about 5 minutes to do my protective style; a wig or half-wig. If I slept in a puff the night before it takes me 30 seconds to spray on some moisturizer and fluff. When I'm undoing a fresh braidout, it takes me about 15-20 minutes to unbraid and style.

it doesnt take me long at all. i slather my hair in oil, hop in the shower, co wash my hair, finish shower, hop out and slather on leave in and oil, wrap hair in micro fiber towel, get dress, un-towel my hair, shake and go.

5-10 mins tops! Twisted I might pin it up...but most likeley i'll let it get wet in the shower and dry on my way to work! Twist out I just fluff & go..

This week all I've done is pull off my plastic cap and head out the door. My braids are in two cornrows.

Other times, I just put on a hat over my plastic cap and head out the door.

If wearing my hair out, I might undo the cornrows as I walk to the door and be done in less than a minute and be out the door.

Or if it's wash day, after the 10-20 minutes it takes to wash and condition and ACV rinse, I just towel dry and walk out the door.

I hardly spend any time on my hair. Now finding something that fits my ever-enlarging body...that could get me late.
