Naturals - Black-n-Sassy Products

Hey there. I'm trying to find a product as an alternative to my beloved Fantasia IC Gel. I think my hair is getting too long for this product and it isn't working as well as it was when my hair was shorter. So....

I bought this black n sassy carribean moisturizer or something like that and it makes my little teeny spirals hang and curl like nobody's business. It's lighter than the gel which is why I prefer it since my hair is longer. But, it's a bit drying. So I combined it with the Fantasia and it worked, GREAT in fact, but then it turned white (drat). My question is, what can I use this product with that won't turn it white, and my the little curls still appear? I wonder if I need to use it with other black n sassy products? You know, like a leave-in or something? I've heard that sometimes, it's best to use the same product line for maximum results (although I've mixed and matched other products with success). Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

im so mad at this review!!! i cannot bring myself to purchase a product called black n' sassy...it irks me! :(

oh, im sorry...it wasnt supposed to be anything negative towards you! i just see all the good reviews and i want it, but i just cant bring myself to purchase it :lol::lol:

im glad its workin out for you though!!! (and im with you on mane & tail)

oh yeah, and to answer your question....maybe you could try mixing with aloe vera gel or vitamin e gel....i think they sell it at Dollar Tree and Walgreens....and ive seen aloe vera gel at Target....

the carribean creme is a leav in... perhaps u can try it with the wrap stuff. it is purple.... only thing is, it made my hair a bit hard.
so perhaps mixing them will give u hold..and the carribean creme can moisturize and soften... im not sure though

Thanks ladies for all your replies. I'm a bit impatient and impulsive (not two "im's" I'm proud of by the way) and went out and bought the cream set and the shine......something when I got off work yesterday.

So, I washed my hair, **oh and nchristina I'm a very dense 4a thin stranded chica** applied the leave in all over and figured I'd use the creme set. Well the leave-in turned my hair white and I didn't use very much. Not to mention it was very stiff. So having done that, I just washed it all out, applied some aloe vera gel for moisture (cheapy kind from Wal-Mart), cut about an inch and a half off, put on my satin bonnet and went to bed. This morning, I sprayed with my water, conditioner, and glycerin mix and applied my beloved Fantasia IC throughout.

So much for that experiment. So I'll just get braids or something once I get that inch and half back to get me through the in-between stages which should be around October. Thanks for all the replies though. I'll stop cutting my hair one day **sigh**.

No worries on cutting the hair. It needed it and I am surely not afraid of the scissors (which is why they need to be thrown out).

I think I can take back 2 products since I hadn't dug my fingers in them. But who knows. You know how beauty supply stores can be. If I had purchased them from CVS or Rite Aid I would have been able to since they have a return policy on cosmetics and hair care products. But we'll see. Thanks for the wishes.
